Yeah, who would have thought that the Browns would be the team to figure out how to score against the Ravens? I still think Baltimore will turn it around, but then I never imagined Cleveland would be in the lead at any point. Originally posted by RABid: Took a chance. Magpel
pins and needles! Ravens driving for a possible winning FG with a minute to go! I'm not able to watch the game, but it looks like Stover's gonna at least get a chance to win it...for us all... MidLifeCrisis
If not for Matt Stover we would have had some serious reduction in our bretheren in the pool. But it worked out. Keeps it interesting with more people in the pool. Steve A Lifetime of Peace, Love and Protest Music www.rock-xtreme.com

Mark Zeger
With the little attention I pay to NFL stats, one that was easy to spot: in the first 2 weeks, B-more defense hadn't allowed a TD. Sure thing against Cleveland, right? I figured the Browns would have maybe a 3 FG day yesterday and the Ravens could find the end zone a couple of times. Who knew? Here is the week 4 schedule: Sunday, Oct. 1 Arizona at Atlanta 1:00 p.m. Dallas at Tennessee 1:00 p.m. Indianapolis at N.Y. Jets 1:00 p.m. Miami at Houston 1:00 p.m. Minnesota at Buffalo 1:00 p.m. New Orleans at Carolina 1:00 p.m. San Diego at Baltimore 1:00 p.m. San Francisco at Kansas City 1:00 p.m. Detroit at St. Louis 4:05 p.m. Cleveland at Oakland 4:15 p.m. Jacksonville at Washington 4:15 p.m. New England at Cincinnati 4:15 p.m. Seattle at Chicago 8:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2 Green Bay at Philadelphia 8:30 p.m. Might as well make a pick now: Philly. Magpel
Originally posted by Dan South: Thanks, Tom Brady, for giving me yet another reason to despise you, you arrogant, overrated little twerp. Oh my goodness, Dan! Irrational! Brady is about the best thing the NFL has to offer right now. He's like Derek Jeter but better--always says the right thing, humble, smart, a first class underdog story. A college backup. Do recall that every team in the NFL passed on him...FIVE TIMES! Without even considering his impressive stats and a record of postseason excellence rivaled only by Mariano Rivera, look at his salary! He took less--considerably less--than he could have made anywhere to stay in new England and to give some teeth to that whole NE team ethic myth. He is of course a star, but the utlimate team star. He was crushed and irate, BTW, when the Pats failed to keep Deion Branch. I don't like the Pats, but I find it utterly impossible not to love Tom Brady and I happen to think that he is the best QB in the NFL--not just leader--a damn accurate passer, Aikmen like. In any case, he's the guy I'd build my team around. Check out the Sweet Clementines CD at bandcamp

Since life is full of tough choices, I'll take Philly to win at home on Monday night (and I won't lose too much sleep if they lose). ;-) Noah
