  1. Eli Manning 'This is why we don"t like the Eagles' Yep. See you next year.
  2. Very excited to watch the 2-7 Giants go up against 3-4-1 Eagles. What a year for the NFC East. But the rivalry remains. Giants have lost 8 in a row and 12 out of last 13 to the Eagles. Important game for Joe Judge and Daniel Jones. Another close loss won"t do, it"s gotta be a W. Coming off a bye and getting Miles Sanders and Alshon Jeffries back, a gambling man would probably take Philly. Go G- men, end the streak!
  3. Well things change fast. NE Denver which was rescheduled to Tuesday has now been pushed to next Sunday. Meanwhile another positive test in Tennessee. I don"t have a lot of hope that this season is going to make it.
  4. So as of right now the Bills are scheduled to play the Titans in Tennessee on Tuesday, and then play the Chiefs at home on Thursday. I assume this will change but pretty unfair to Buffalo to be in limbo as of Sunday morning.
  5. Come on, Geoff really isn"t that good! ð Well at least I can"t be worse than 5th.
  6. I"m in. Very tough to make picks. I"m clueless. Probably should have closed my eyes and picked.
  7. Alrighty Then! Going to be a pretty challenging draft. New coaches, rookies no preseason. Game On
  8. Is there a fantasy league this year? I couldn't find a thread for it. There appears to be a draft Sunday, but the league name says 2019. dB ?
  9. Draft on Thursday! I am living in virtual meetings these days so seeing these guys do it will be interesting. I"d be fine if both NYC teams took OL but that would be boring. In other NFL news, Gronkowski is joining Brady in Tampa. That division will be entertaining, fans or not. I hope there is a season. The NFL is the greatest unscripted drama ever. Entertainment wise, it"s king. Some of that starts Thursday.
  10. Should be an interesting season. Hopefully the health scare is gone and we'll have some very excited fan bases. I wonder if there was something amiss with Deandre Hopkins. I remember watching one game last year where he missed a couple of balls, but overall I believe he was one of, if not, the best receivers in the league. They really have made some scratch your head moves in recent history. SO who goes to New England? Dalton? Winston? Cam?
  11. I find the QB free agency stories amusing. Rumors abound: Brady going to the Titans, Rivers to Indy, Dalton to the Pats etc. etc. My gut feeling is that Brees returns to NO for another year. I need some football- I'll give the XFL a try over the weekend.
  12. I can only assume they will do something nice at the beginning of the game to honor Kobe. You only get an audience this big once a year. I also expect a great game. This is a game where one team could dominate early, and then roles reverse, maybe a few times.
  13. Count me in as a believer. Beating Belichick and Harbaugh at home with Dolphins castoff Ryan Tannehill at QB? Kudos to Mike Vrabel. I love the playoffs. Today should be another cool day.
  14. Well another year and another dBelichick Championship :deadhorse: My official 2019 excuses: 1. couldn"t stick with a QB from the draft on 2. Le"Veon Bell got plenty of touches only to play hide and seek then go for 2-3 yards. Same strategy, way different OL 3. dB using Jedi mind tricks to ensure no one uses the backup guy that winds up scoring 36 fan points ( I have no proof of this - he"s good!) Seriously, very fun and entertaining season. CONGRATS TO dB, and may one of the restofus hoist the trophy next year!
  15. I hadn't gotten an opportunity to see the 49ers recently until last nights game. They looked very good. Quite a beat down of Mayfield and the Browns. I kind of enjoyed that- they need a little humbling.
  16. The season of 2019 (2 games in!) is going to be one to remember. Luck retires, AB saga, Brees hurt, Cam hurt, Roethlisberger out for the season, Eli benched and done in NY, 2 games with 20+ point spreads in a week, the Miami purge and tank, trades...
  17. And a couple of guys in New England wouldn"t like it...
  18. I wouldn"t be surprised if the Colts went for Eli Manning.
  19. So Sunday it begins. Quite a few gamble picks. Ezekiel Elliot is in the Le'Veon Bell role, for now. Then you have Melvin Gordon holding out; a somewhat bad knee injured Gurley; and of course the delusional Antonio Brown. It's going to make for some tough decisions early on. On another note, these preseason games are killing me. The backups don't even see the 3rd quarter.
  20. This went through my head a couple of weeks ago. I got an email advertising a show at the Iridium: Ten Years After performing their entire set from Woodstock- a 50 year celebration. But Alvin Lee died in 2013. A couple of original members are still with the band, and I would imagine some people might not realize Alvin is gone.
  21. Great game in London today. 17-7 in the 7th. :idk It just smells like $ to me. Ok, I guess for this time of year. I just see a bunch of young executives coming up with ideas to grow their brand. Barnstorming in foreign countries wasnt popular with old time owners as they were left out of the $ way back when. 17-10 now. At least I have this on a really hot humid day in NY.
  22. The first time I saw JB in concert, 83 ARMs show, was the first concert I ever went to that had a big movie screen. With video, YouTube etc. we take that for granted these days. One thing that night that made me a Beck fan for life was his manipulation of the Strats whammy bar along with the knobs. It was amazing, and still is. Yes, he can play the crap out of a LP or anything else for that matter, but hes a master of the Stratocaster.
  23. My favorites have changed through time. Nice how you can almost "rediscover" an album you got tired of at some point. I could come up with a list. It wouldnt be this list; or the same list I would have made 10 or 20 years ago. Regardless, I dont get Good Day Sunshine as being ranked their worst song.
