Magpel
Tinder Arts with a gutsy early season bet on New Orleans. Win a week with a team like the Saints and you've saved a big gun for later, when pickings are slim. Surprised to see only one Bengals pick so far, but then it can be wise to steer clear of state rivalries, no matter what the apprent disparity bewteen teams. On paper, there are a lot of mismatches this week. Lessee how that pans out... Check out the Sweet Clementines CD at bandcamp

SilverDragonSoun
I didn't have the cojones to make a risky pick. I thought about San Francisco and Miami but I went with the safer pick. This early in the season you just don't know who's truly good and who's truly bad with a few exceptions. Those middle tier teams who culd go either way are the ones that scare me unless they have a great matchup and there are a few this week. Good luck gentlemen! Stuff does happen, though. Two years ago, I got taken out in week 2 by the Steelers only loss of the year...they got beat by the Ravens, who ostensibly sucked, but managed to pull one out at home.... If either Baltimore or Indy go down, we're gonna have some major carnage. dB ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <== Professional Affiliations: Royer Labs • Music Player Network

Jeff Klopmeyer
So, if the Raiders win this weekend, half of you are gone? Gee, that'd be a shame. MWA-HA-HA-HA! GO RAIDERS! Magpel
Man there are only three games available to me that I'd even consider touching this week...which puts me in the awkward spot of having to jump on the Baltimore bandwagon... Awkward not because it's a bandwagon pick but because, as I'm sure NONE of you will recall, my final pick of last year's surivial pool--in the final week of the regular season--was Baltimore on the road over Cleveland, after Kyle Boller had put together 3 straight solid performances. That day, Charlie Frye looked like the good young QB, Cleveland won, and daBowsa, who somehow still had the Steelers in the tank, won that epic survival pool. I'll take Baltimore.
