Sounds like we've got a great crowd again this year. I'll definitely be there...

Dave - If we can accomodate him, I'll bring a guest. He's posted to KC a number of times, co-wrote one of the tunes that I submitted to one of the compilations (Chango), but usually hangs out at the Lowdown Lowdown (Bump City).

If we can't accomodate him he can hang at the bar and entertain the bartenders :)

Have a nice time guys ! Unfortunately i can't show up because the trip is a little too expensive (i live in Belgium). Maybe within a few years...who knows ?

May i ask that some of you will give the new RDSX pianos a good try and post the results on this great forum ?

Thank you all and enjoy NAMM !!

see you later,

Looks like fun!

There is a group shot taken at the table that has me stumped. According to the head count, the mythological steadyb is 8th from the left - or 11th from the right. But when I count from either direction, somehow he disappears. Weird! Is he really that shy?

Just back from dinner. What a blast!!! Looks like we exceeded the reservation (for 28), and ended up taking two tables (to last years one).

This is such a cool group of people - with differing views, but always open to new opinions and ideas. I'm so glad I found this place, and the friends I've made here. :)

A couple quick comments:

1. Thanks Chuck...

2. Thanks Dr. Moog for stopping by to say hello, as well as the gift you've given nearly every one of us. Sorry Brian didn't give you my seat in the bar :(

3. Thanks Dave, Geoff, and the rest of the gang for making this a great place to hang.

4. If you drink a gallon of ice tea during dinner:

a. Make certain you have a good book to read when you go to bed

b. Try NOT to sit in a place that forces 5 people to get up to let you out to the bathroom.

Just got back from the show - sorry for the delay in posting.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time and energy to come and hang - each one of these seems to get better and better. I think it's incredibly wonderful that so many people from so many different backgrounds have developed into a pretty tightly knit group of friends, and I feel privileged to be a part of it.

I'd also like to thank Chuck for his generosity, and also to thank Steve Fortner for arranging for Bob Moog to come by and spend some time with us.

I sincerely hope that we can keep doing these dinners for a long time to come. :thu:

You are all very welcome. It was truly my pleasure. It is the least I could do. I think at least 1/2 people in the room are customers of Sweetwater.

I just appreciate that all of us got to spend time together. I always enjoy your company. It is so cool to "break bread" with friends.

Thanks

Chuck

Thanks from me too Chuck - you disappeared before I could say that. It was supper. I mean super. I mean...thanks. :thu:

I enjoy the dinner...diner...(crap) as much (if not more) as the NAMM show itself. I heard repeated remarks to the effect of the power and uniqueness this forum has in creating true friendships among so many geographically distant people. It was truly great to see and talk to you guys and gal. Special thanks to Dave for arranging it and to Steve for arranging Dr. Moog to come over to our table.

Geez -- if I knew Chuck were paying...

Hey thanks Mr. Surack, from your favorite keyboard manufacturer -- it was a GREAT time talking to John (your Purch. Mgr.) and Bill from Purgatory Creek, and Pat Azz, and Mike Martin, and Steve F., and Georgie Hamill, Mark's long lost brother.

My buddy Christian and I had a great time hanging out -- thanks so much DB for the invite, maybe next year, I'll have a little higher post count to talk about :)

What about Arby's next year?

Ok... pics time !!

I don't know how Zeronyne was able to hide his two noses, but well... Markyboard in the middle of 0-9 and good ol pal Chuck Surack. Who are our friends at the bottom in the pic, next to 0-9? :

Steven Fortner and his classic cool photo opportunity look, Dave Bryce behind of him... GearMike, Ken 11 Shadows, Master Yoda O´Keefe and George Hamilton:

Our side of the dinner area was crowded with cool people: Steven Fortner in the back, me, my friend Elvia, cool Geoff Grace, Michael, GearMike (barely visible), Ken 11 Shadows and Yoda O´Keefe:

Craig did not show up this time, but he's so cool we had a pic together:

One of the highlights of the show... Rick Wakeman at M-Audio's booth!! ... A pic with my all time keyboard hero:
