  1. Only 114? What a youngster! And yet, have the wisdom of a 2,000 years old wizard!
  2. That's what I mean with "do not act stupid". Get your vaccines, be cautious, use the mask in public places and welcome to 2022.
  3. That would be awesome ❤️ But NO, COVID IS NOT "getting less dangerous". WE are getting better protected with each booster shot and with massive vaccination. COVID is still that little monster happily willing to enter in your body and kill you and spread his clones among all your loved ones. Get vaccinated and do not act stupid. We will have to learn how to live with this bug like we do now with the regular flu.
  4. I just create PDFs with each song with big enough fonts and "AirDrop" them from my Mac to the iPad I send them to a local folder into "FILES" and I have them alphabetically. They will open just by tapping on them 50 minutes performance? That's about 10 songs, right? Piece of cake.
  5. I had one and loved it! The organs and synths were good enough to cover all the basic needs of a covers band. I love it has drawbars. The synth will do pretty much whatever you need regarding the classic patches of Fat brasses, strings, leads, bass... What I didn't like? Its pianos. That what I use the most and it is its weakest area. Good enough for comping but not for solo piano / vocals work.
  6. ... Now I will feel really bad If I buy Behringer's UBX-a...
  7. I swear to God I posted something saying the CASIO S500 could be the champ I am needing! Let me do some research and ask our friend @Mike Martin
  8. Hola! i just wanted -or still want- built in speakers to use it as I said, as an acoustic guitar which you can take out of its bag and make some music for you at the couch or a couple of friends, not for a real gig.
  9. Lou, I am looking for a truly good piano sound. I WILL NOTICE IT AND CARE ABOUT IT. NEW, because perhaps a new generation keyboard may contain better samples / fx. I just don’t want to haul my MX88 or any other hardware synth with me.
  10. I am also an old fart and have tons of good and awesome keyboards. i am just trying to find the holly grial of under $500 usd keyboard, good enough for GIGGING. Good piano and general synth sounds with not so crappy keys. Apparently, it does not exist. YET.
  11. Hola! i had the VR09 and the piano sounds were really mediocre. I even feel the Go Keys has better sounds. The organs and synths were truly good, though.
  12. Hi Guys… The Mexican is Back!

Hope I can contribute to the might of Music Player.

  13. Thanks so much, Werno! I already have the MX88 which is awesome and incredibly light for its size... but I don't want / need 88 keys for my night club gigs, so I am looking for 61 keys max. Thanks!!
  14. It's twice the price... runs on batteries... but has a lot of stuff I'm not gonna use.
  15. Well, that is why I decided to ask here... I didn't know about the inconsistent velocities of that keyboard -not that it surprises me given its price- I am truly attracted to it because it runs on batteries and has its own speakers. Don't judge me. Sometimes I'd really like to have one keyboard which behaves like a guitar: get it out of its case/bag and play with it wherever you are... The MX61 does not run on batteries. If I want that, I could choose a KROSS 2 Instead... but the price is really different... * I tried once a JUNO DS 61... I didn't like it but I expected a lot more from it, not just some basic sounds... but the price is also very different. Thanks Max!!
  16. I've been doing Facebook Live streams for the last two years. My first "in person" gig will be in two weeks. Fortunately it's an outdoor gig. When I started doing online shows, it was SO weird to finish a song and ... nothing. No claps, no cheers, no public to see their reaction... just me. Now once I finish a song, I read the live comments, say something about the song, how good it is or how fun or anything -I feel like a Radio DJ-. It's all good. ... it will be too weird again to dress-up to play, stand to an audience and get their immediate feedback. BUT I am totally willing to do it.
  17. Hi there I own a nice collection of pro synths. Digital, Analog, Vintage stuff and even a Yamaha CP70B. But with this return to the live shows, I am not truly willing to take my YAMAHA MX88 for pianos, my Roland JD800 for Digital deliciousness and my Prologue 16 for Analog stuff to a live show. NO. Not for what they pay, LOL. I want a cheapo -like the pay at clubs- but good sounding keyboard. Think good pianos, fat brass (Jump!) and classic synths. And light to carry on. I do not need editable sounds. And I am NOT taking a $3,000 USD MacBook Pro for soft synths + a MIDI controller. NO. I have in mind buying a ROLAND GO KEYS 61. I kinda like the sounds and even the look. It has speakers and runs in batteries. Yes, it feels cheap because it is cheap. But If I run out of ideas, I could end-up buying it for the small gigs, bring an iPad for triggering the backing tracks and I'm done. ... What else would you guys suggest instead of the ROLAND GO KEYS 61?
  18. I got a two-weeks ban from Facebook because I posted a guy playing a viral "tabla" tune with a cat "dancing" to it. ... and they said it was hate speech against a community. I am sorry you lost your page. For my "pro" page, I did what you recommended: created another FB profile and made it also its administrator.
  19. I love the new look of the site and forums. So modern and functional. Perhaps is it time to give the spanish speaking community another chance? Thanks for the warm welcome. Missed you guys, too. I'll be back
  20. I think this place looks familiar... ... Mr. Anderton? Is that the guy from The Matrix? 🤔
