Way far.

As it stands right now, I have seven tunes. A bit disappointing, considering how many people said they wanted to participate.

Also, will you be kind enough to let me know if you get my disc on Tuesday?

Yep.

Not all of the tunes submitted are five minutes long.

A typical album used to be 40 minutes. These days, I think more of them are closer to 60-70

As I said in my first post, considering the amount of people who said that that they wanted to paticipate, the turnout is disappointing. IIRC, It looked like we were going to have more submissions than the disc space would allow. Right now, we're not even close to filling it up halfway.

Hope the demos went well...

I'm not scheduled at Leo's for another two weeks. I'll be there 9/12 and 9/13.

If you want, you can mail the disc down, or wait and give it to me then...

Dave,

In the early editions of the comp cd's you guys had posted mp3's of people's submissions...

I remember it was originally so people could "vote" or whatever...

But it was fun to listen in advance, and even see people react to comments and make changes and so on...

Is there still a "post" area for the current, (6 and 7) comp material I don't know about?

guitplayer

I'm still "guitplayer"!

Check out my music if you like...

Nope.

Two things killed that:

1) mp3.com stopped letting people post as many songs as they wanted to for free, and

2) It was a pretty big chunk of of work for me to manage those sites.

dB - my recording will be on its way to you tomorrow. Sorry for the delay...

BTW, it's a new song I just wrote and will debut next weekend for a huge groundbreaking event here on Camano Island, called "Common Ground". It's approx. 3 minutes, for your planning.

:)

Travel safe, amigo.

You wanna resumbit? ;)

This thread has slipped off the first page, so I'll bump it to the top by announcing my submission to this edition of the Keyboard Corner Compilation CD.

Michael Erwin - Piano Improv No. 1 (4:03)

This is a solo, improvised piano piece that I recorded a few years ago. It's the only piece like this I've ever done, so I'm glad to have a reason to drag it out and share it with the forum.

Dave, any more new submissions? What's the tally?

Best,

r33k

Just yours, Michael - I got your PM yesterday, but haven't downloaded it yet.

In all fairness, I haven't been to the mailbox since last week, though...

It's too late to get in on this, isn't it? :(
**Standard Disclaimer** Ya gotta watch da Ouizel, as he often posts complete and utter BS. In this case however, He just might be right. Eagles may soar, but Ouizels don't get sucked into jet engines.

No, that will not be allowed. Only resumbits.
The esteemed brother from NJ is, of course, correct. Resumbits only.

Originally posted by DanS:

I can't remember, is it 16 or 24 resumbits?

32. Duh... ;)

So, if Ms. Z comes through for us, then what's that, like fourteen tracks? That's enough to go ahead with the project despite the running time. That's my opinion, anyway.

Thanks to all who commented on my sumbission, by the way. I'm pleased you liked it.

Best,

Hey, dB - sorry to hear about your Masterlink! Remember, if you need parts, talk to Ruth @ Advanced in LA.

Michael - my track left here yesterday and including island-time, it should arrive in his hands Friday. Really enjoyed your improv as well. Nice work.

Looking forward to hearing the end result.

Thanks, but I'm gonna go after the Alesis folks on this one, I think... ;)
