I think J.Dan is an interesting case in that he has used this forum through the years to sort of make his life and open book, which is no doubt therapeutic for him. First of all, if too many people did this, it would clog the forum. But that doesn't happen. Second, if someone less tactful and respectful than J.Dan did it, they would soon be exorcised. But J.Dan has done it in such an elegant way that people actually welcome it and look forward to his personally-oriented ruminations. I know I did, when I was on here more frequently. It's been hard for me to stay motivated about music given the current rug rat infestation. That's something an internet forum can, at its best, do for shut-ins like me. So I'll try to make it here more often and hopefully see more of J.Dan's writings.
