JeffLearman
So, not going to put any logo on the back panel? Sure, the Hammond on the front was from the original. It's a nice touch. I suppose you want to keep people guessing, or make them have to ask you! ... Only one set of crucial components missing, my brother. WHERE ARE THE START/RUN SWITCHES? ... Alright...it's a stupid comment Maybe, but I got a laugh out of it!
mate stubb
I dunno. I have thought about putting something on the back panel. It wouldn't be "Hammond" because it is not their product. Maybe "Speed Queen" or "Maytag". Quote Moe ---

Luke Higgins
Hi, someone pointed me to this thread from the organ forum. I remember talking to you Moe on there about it and now you've finished it looks fantastic. I started my own midi controller project although yours kinda puts mine to shame! haha if you could check it out that would be cool! http://www.organforum.com/forums/showthread.php?17726-Hammond-Midi-Controller-Project/page9 Seeing yours finished has given me the inspiration to finish mine! mate stubb
Here are a couple of images showing the midi and power interconnection between manuals. http://www.hotrodmotm.com/images/hammond/keeper/finished_misc_04.jpg I flip the top manual to this position when setting up to connect the manuals. http://www.hotrodmotm.com/images/hammond/keeper/finished_misc_08.jpg Here is the setup I used for the glam photos. A few yards of white felt served for the backdrops, and I had every high intensity light in the house trained on it. I used a Nikon D60 with its built in flash. http://www.hotrodmotm.com/images/hammond/keeper/finished_misc_02.jpg Quote Moe ---

retrokeys
Absolutely stunning. The best of both worlds, a proven control surface and lightweight sound generation all wrapped in fine furniture grade woodwork. If you every decide to do this sort of building on commission..sign me up. This is what the Hammond future should looks like and it's still less expensive than the B3p by a long shot. mate stubb
Do you have any advice for me to get me started. My best advice is to read the two construction threads linked from my first post - they show a lot of detail on the whole process. Good luck with your project! funkythumbs
Thanks for the advice. I am still waiting for the manuals to be delivered. i am start another project though. I want to program my own PIC since I've I still have programming PIC fresh in my head from college last year. I am ordering new books and programming kits now. I've once heard someone say that the best job is the one you create for yourself so maybe I can turn this into a bussiness. How is your controller working?
