Dazzathedrummer
Raining here in the UK too - until Monday or Tuesday!! Plus I don't get paid until Tuesday so I'll mainly be doing things that don't cost money!!! Pale
33°C here today, not a single cloud! This weekend? I have a gig on Sunday morning - Barbecue competition, I'll be eating some tasty food, drinking beer and playing some good ole rock&roll. Food in the stomach, money in the pocket - can't beat that. Joe Muscara
Funny that all but one reply so far is from non-US posters, as the reason D-Bon started this thread is that Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer here. Is it around now for you guys as well? "I'm so crazy, I don't know this is impossible! Pale
Nope, we don't celebrate Memorial day I didn't know it was your unofficial summer start day, I just responded because it's friggin' 33°C outside, and that's not really a common temperature for May. Non US people posted probably because we wake up >6h earlier than you in the US. Custom handmade clocks: www.etsy.com/shop/ClockLight
Fusker
Well, he did post at 6:47 AM EDT.... Weather is terrible here right now. Never the less, still get some BBQ in. Other than that, Scotch, a rehearsal on Monday, Scotch. Does feel more like summer though as I have like 3 gigs in the span of 7 days, which is completely unheard of around here. Good times! Skinny
GF has to work; it's supposed to be rainy here all weekend. So I'll probably sit inside and eat a lot of McDonald's and dredge up some decade-old threads and change my screen name to Fatty. Kidding. I'll be practicing and brushing up on some tunes. The last couple months have been very light on gigs for us, so we're a little rusty on some tunes; and we've got a few new ones we're working on. I still may eat McDonalds, though. Stuff and things. Excuse me too RAB, but I've never even heard of Cincinnati 'Reds' - who are they, & what do they do? Manchester United are the biggest-supported team in existence... an estimated 400 million around the world. Old Trafford (our stadium) only holds 77,000 - but if it were bigger, would get 3 or 4 times that number attending weekly. How does that qualify you to say "The Reds" are from... eeerrrmm, where ? ? ? Seannn
In Montreal, many of us consider the start of summer to be when the Grand Prix hits town. I, on the other hand, consider the start of summer the day classes end, or the week we get sunshine and +20-degree weather. NoahZark
We've got some friends who are getting ready to move back to San Diego after about 10 years in the DC area. Before they go, they wanted to make one last run to Philly for some cheesesteaks. So, we're hitting the road tomorrow with both families for a day/night in Philly with a lunch stop tomorrow (and perhaps a breakfast stop on Sunday as well) for Pat's and Geno's.
