  1. Through headphones, my GP609 and my RD-2000 with the V-Piano expansion sound pretty comparable. Amplified, though, it's no contest: as you say, the GP609 speakers, mounted into the soundboard, sound just plain amazing. If I get curious, I might try running my RD-2000 through my GP609 speakers at some point and see what happens ...
  2. I just ordered this on the strength of a review in the recent issue of Living Blues magazine:
  3. CyberGene, the way you express yourself here is the primary reason why I don't visit PianoClack. I'm not saying that to be mean or rude. I'm simply offering it as a solitary data point for you to consider, if you're interested in growing activity at PC.
  4. THe V-Piano expansion for the Roland RD-2000. A bit over-priced, but I had some income tax return money burning a hole in my pocket. . Sounds good, FYI!
  5. Haha, yeah. That video is so terribly, terribly 80s. I think Carl was all like, "Sorry, guys. I miss the 70s. I'm outta here ... "
  6. Keith Emerson says "GO!!!" (Start at 3:00 if it doesn't automatically do so.)
  7. The Roland AX-Edge does, but forget that. More importantly, it has a "sleek, modern design with a customizable look via interchangeable Edge Blades"!!!
  8. It's not. In fact, it's been crucial to my decision to buy a keytar!!
  9. Honestly, the older you get, the more often you will feel that way ... on a good day ...
  10. Haha, indeed. I would like to get a V-accordion for practice and other fun things, but I will definitely what an acoustic accordion as well.
  11. This is the "official" one: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/CBB88V2--roland-cb-b88v2-keyboard-gig-bag Not cheap, but I find Roland products to be very well made.
  12. But you say that like it's a good thing ... 🥲
  13. Al Quinn: Great stuff, thanks! I'll definitely check out more of them.
  14. Not that I've heard of, but that's a very cool idea. Patent pending!
  15. I absolutely intend to learn accordion at some point, but right now all I have is a beat-up one that scares the cats when I try to play. That Roland V-Accordion is amazing though. It might be my next big purchase ...
  16. Whew, I hear you. And it's not getting any easier with each passing year ... Until the last few years, I was giggin on upright bass semi-regularly, and having the same issue. I bought one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001Q3KT4M/ I removed the back part, set the seat nice and high, so I could sit back on the edge of it, but still be in more or less a standing position. Sometimes people would even say later, "Oh, I didn't even realize you were sitting down." I could even put a foot at a time up on the little footrest bar at the bottom to give my sole a break. Not sure if this would work for you, but might be worth a shot.
  17. That table is following me from site to site. Please take all that with a grain of salt. MANY people have disputed the numbers there. For example, there are two different pivot lengths associated with the PHA-50 ...
