  1. And they already have (a good) one in Classic Electrics. Now for that Hammond B3 …
  2. That’s the reason I got the CK61. Didn’t care for the MODX (6 and 7) keybeds. Too flimsy and too much horizontal movement. The keybed on the new CK61 is FSB. Pretty good.
  3. Yes, Pianoteq Pro works on the iPad and it’s marvelous to tweak everything to your heart’s content. If you have Pro on your Mac, you’ve got Pro on your iPad. As for Ravenscroft, I hope you compared the iOS version to the one for Mac. Such a -huge- difference, night and day. I consequently deleted Ravenscroft from my iPad.
  4. Interesting first take by our forum colleague Paul J. Drongowski: http://sandsoftwaresound.net/yamaha-ck88-yes-i-played-one/
  5. Dang, I wish they’d hurry up and release that successor.
  6. Nah, would never use that din midi in. Midi out makes sense of course, given the number of classic outboard modules that only have din. For midi in, usb suffices.
  7. Pianoteq runs fine on my original iPad Air (first gen). As for the sampled-vs-modeled debate, though I can understand the merits of some sampled ones (and I have dozens) on a Mac, this is different on iOS, as there are not many, if any, large sampled grands except for Ravenscroft. And that one’s surely flawed compared to the Mac version. Pianoteq easily rules supreme as long as there are no 50GB pianos on iOS. And even then. No sampled piano lives up to Pianoteq’s playability and real piano feel, even on a Mac.
  8. Just wait for SuperBooth in two weeks. You never know.
  9. Always loved Blue3 on my Mac so this is a no-brainer. One of the best Hammonds ITB.
  10. That’s a pretty amazing showcase.
  11. It’s perfect with MainStage and Zenology Pro on the Mac. I use the iMac as its screen.
  12. I also dislike the Akai EWI. Blowing blows. Apparently the Roland’s allow for better blowing. Here’s looking at the new Yammie. I liked the WX series’ looks. Color me interested.
  13. Even his more recent work on Async was simply beautiful.
  14. The RD88 rocks for me. Don’t mind the on-keyboard programming as there’s Zenology Pro to make all kinds of new sounds and download them to the RD. And then there’s that perfect MainStage compatibility. It’s a mighty setup.
  15. Same here. Zenology 2.0 looks mighty fine and plays well with that RD.
