Are we sure about the better action on the YC61 compared to the CK61?
There’s criticism on the YC61 action after some use. And the FSB action on the CK61 stems from some well served higher end arranger boards.
So these could actually be launched on March 14th at 1:00 PST. And they were already seen at a Mexican webstore at prices close to the original MODX series. Well, well, pretty stoked.
Got most of ‘em (maybe almost all) and I’d go for the OrangeTreeSamples Famous E and the AcousticSamples Wurlie if I’d have to keep full Kontakt out of the picture.
But I looooooove Purgatory Creek.
You don’t like the Pianoteq electrics, which is a shame as I really dig them, but maybe have a look at the AAS Lounge Lizard EP4. And I hate to say it, but Waves have some fine ones too.
The fact that it’s MainStage compatible and includes Zenology’s 3000 tones is quite something: the RD-88 is a stage piano plus a full fletched synth and a MainStage controller.
Good point. That’s what convinced me too, at first, as I wasn’t at all looking for an organ emu. So I started seeing it as a nicer looking GrandStage sibling. And so I jumped. And again. And again.
Finally that price level arrived stateside. Still one (3) of my fav boards, with 10GB of Kronos quality sounds, a great keybed, nutube and metal build.
Same here, 3 Xkeys (two small, one large). Got to find a good usb-c cable though.
Also got the Yammie Reface CP for portability, and two Arturia Minilab Mk3’s, one white, one black.
Strange.
The RD-88 is more expensive, so what's the difference apart from 5-pin MIDI out?
Edith: found some other peculiarities. RD-88 has over 3000 tones, while this new one almost 1000.
RD-88 has tweeters, the newborn hasn't.
