  1. I dislocated my right shoulder about 2 years ago and it took about a year to be pain free. The most painful part on your body is most likely your shoulder. I had physical therapy for almost 4 months and had about 95% motion restored but it took almost a year to be pain free I was doing pushups after about 10 months after dislocation and suddenly I could hear the tendons stretch and all of a sudden I had full motion of shoulder. I have completely healed with no pain but it took about a year. Good luck with your surgery!
  2. IMO the keys are not for a really aggressive player but for someone that plays a cover band that maybe ok. Same old song and dance night after night. Haven't seen any live big acts using the yc 61 but whatever is best for your needs. Talent is being a natural player not just a over the top computer geek which sounds really stale. JMO
  3. Sounds like most pop tunes today and can't listen to that bs great for some people but not for me.
  4. Great performance keys sound really good and most of all having a great time playing Journey songs.
  5. Dang I forgot about Raise a little hell we did that in an early 80's band. Always got the crowd involved.
  6. I am so glad I grew up in this era of music brings back alot of memories
  7. Awesome great seeing those older guys bringing the funk with great harmonies. They are having a great time that really creates a vibe that makes you wanna move.
  8. Correct less band mates less headache. Thinking of doing a duo with a sax player that is really good vocalist.
  9. I went about 4 months without playing hardly at all guess because they were no gigs because of the pandemic. I like to jog so once I started back getting outside my mental perception changed and seemed like life is really what you make of it. Yes if felt so weird playing with the band since I took a break from playing for a few months.
  10. I figured out that foam disintegrates over time into small pieces. What I did was put black gorilla tape over the foam where it wouldn't break off and get on my keyboard but I always use a blanket to cover my keyboard when it's in the case. But most importantly I don't use the road case much anymore since I only play local now. Mine case has been in the basement for about 5 years at least and pieces of foam were breaking off I just removed most of it and covered the rest in tape just for cushioning.
  11. Nice work and leslie sounds fatter and tad louder from my settings. I slowed the rotors a little but great job.
  12. Well I paid $2700 out the door for Fantom 7 actually $2699.99. Anyway depending on relations with China and other countries where alot of the keyboards are shipped from depending on who you ask the price could be much higher and I don't see prices being lower but what do I know about this. My Fantom says made in Taiwan as I was just curious where it was sent from. Ultimately this is your decision comes down to your financial situation and if you wanna spend the money for that or something else. One thing for sure it is built like a tank. Good luck in your decision.
  13. I purchased the Fantom 7 about 3 months ago and very satisfied and will keep but pricey. Still needs new updates but they are coming from what I hear. The keybed is really good but some adjustments have to be made for playing piano if you are used to weighted keys. However I prefer weighted keys for piano but as I get older most of us have to make some sacrifices if you have to carry your equipment now. I still have the Kronos 2 88 if I need for piano only gig. Very playable for piano but takes a little adjustment as the sw keys you can't dig into the keys like weighted keys. Have to be more precise but seems to be working for me. The piano's, brass, synths are very good. The eps. and organ are so so but I have a MOJO for organ not really concerned about that. Built quality is excellent and the 7 is 33 lbs. Touchscreen is very responsive and alot of videos available because the manual is very strange to comprehend. I was on the fence for a long time because of the price but all in all great keyboard. The analog filter is really nice and you can get some really good sounds from back in the day for your synths. The synth section is the most impressive part of the keyboard especially the pads to me. Hope this helps!
  14. Yea if I had one choice KRONOS is still the king. The Fantom still needs updates to compete in bread and butter sounds. Ed can you hear me and I will hang up and listen. '
  15. King Crimson was a great band really talented musicians. Love the Beatles as well.
  16. The Italian Grand is the same sample for all Korg keyboards but effects may alter the sound but tweaking will depend what sounds good to you. The new Kronos would seem bright for my eyes but looks really good.
  17. I just used a roll of tissue thinking about this COVID-19. I wash my hands more than my ass now but they are so many unknowns about the virus so it's better to be safe than sorry.
  18. I got an email from Korg about an hour ago and just read the info. Seems to me like NORD EDITOR where you can download new sounds and save them. Hope this link works https://www.korg.com/us/support/download/product/0/839/#software Maybe on the Korg website you could get the same info. Seems like a really interesting stage piano for sure. Sorry but this the only link I could find from the email from Korg.
  19. The one thing I didn't know as that you have access to an online editor where you have access to hundreds of sounds and can share sounds. The more I read about the SV-2 it seems to be really user friendly. Sounds like they took a page out from NORD with online editor and sharing patches. Built in speakers on 73 and 88 also. Just thought I'd share some info if you didn't already know this. Have a wonderful day!
  20. This is how I feel. The keyboards I already own have not been exploited for all they're worth. I'm on the edge of retirement with cash to burn and there are too many choices out there. My rational brain says to buy Behringer's Odyssey and POLY D this year. Wait until next year for Behringer's OBX and CS-80. Good grief I am thinking the exact thing but I sorta want the Model D but love the sweet tone on the Odyssey, Contemplating on the Fantom but wanting more newer sounds from the Zen core engine. Dave let us know about the Odyssey very interested?
  21. Perfect example of less is more. His guitar tone and notes are from the heart and always just feels right.
  22. For me a tribute band would get boring after a short period of time just playing the same songs and licks nothing new or innovative.
