  1. You are one helluva programmer and you always get much respect from me as always but going with the Montage makes much more sense. Looking forward to hearing the samples that you bring to Yamaha!
  2. I have both and to me the MODX' display feels better than the Krome's. I believe it's the same screen on the Montage and MODX. I had a MODX for a short while and now have a Montage. I think the screen is fine, but I frequently get double-strikes most noticeably when using the virtual keyboard. Never had this issue with the Kronos. Busch. Why did you get rid of the MODX? I always respect your opinions but I tried the Montage and the MODX side by side and to my ears the Montage was much better hands down. I know you were sold on the MODX at first what changed your mind just curious?
  3. I can't speak on the CP4 action personally but I know Chuck Leavell has used the CP4 for a long time and if he plays one I would say the action would have to be pretty good. Just saying!
  4. Dave I think you nailed it pretty much the Montage has a fuller and more dynamic sound.
  5. This may help video of both side by side!
  6. So you're saying the keybed on Kronos LS is much better? What about the touchscreen compared to Kronos and ease of use compared to Kronos?
  7. Lebron is a LAKER 4 year 154 million deal not bad.
  8. Here is some good info on 2 tier stands https://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/2758040/all/best_2_tier_stand You could 2 stands and do the L shape for both keyboards. Ultimately your decision but there are many good 2 tier stands on the market now.
  9. https://www.korg.com/us/products/synthesizers/grandstage/specifications.php I assume so it is the same SGX-2 engine that is in the Kronos but I have heard people say it sounds different or better but have never played one myself just heard demo's. I know you have more choices of different pianos Austrian, Fazoli, Italian, and the Grandstage that are not in the Kronos but you can purchase them at the Korg website for the Kronos. Also an Upright Grand is included in the Grandstage. From my understanding most people prefer the German Grand which is in the Kronos. Downside for me is if I want a stage piano I want it to be a modeled piano with alot of tweaking capabilities. I think the Grandstage is a sampled piano but the SGX-2 piano engine has it's advantages.
  10. Man there are so many great players out there. Damn Jason you got that right this guy is amazing. Dave Ferris is also pretty impressive in his own right.
  11. This may help explain foldback also on the Hammond organ http://www.organforum.com/forums/showthread.php?41864-Foldback
  12. Great news exactly what told me I kept mine about 2 weeks hoping the wifi problem could be resolved but no luck. So they sent me another one.
  13. I am good this is a Mojo thread and we should keep it that. Not interested in a bunch of your nonsense.
  14. This should help! https://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/2675430/Re_2_keyboards_into_1_Input_in
  15. No scam here my friend not my style and don't appreciate the accusations I suggest you need to be more familiar with my situation before you assume something and we know what assume stands for. Dave Bryce knew about the wifi problem as well as Mitch and Chris at the music store.
  16. I would send it back I didn't wanna send mine back either but it only took 3 days to get the new one. UPS picked mine on Monday and Thursday at lunch I had the new one. As soon as UPS picks it up and they get the tracking number they Chris at Alto sent me another one at no cost great people doing business with. Mine was an open box with same warranty as new one but when they sent me a new one there was no charge for the new one period.
  17. Could have been the Mojo I sent back with the wifi problem. It was fine except the wifi connecting with me. The Clav works like a real Clav with the I think the low note is F and the rest are silent. Check the octave button and make sure it is not on.
  18. I sent my Mojo back due to Wifi problem and received my new one this afternoon and the Mojo hooked with the Editor on first try no problem. For the some reason the first Mojo wouldn't connect all the time and eventually wouldn't connect at all.? I have to give a shout at Chris at Alto Music as he sent me another Mojo right after UPS picked up the first one. I like the 1958 MT B-3 ant the 1962 A102 the best. Really satisfied with the keybed and the sounds are first class.
  19. Dave you will recover much faster than you think being consistent is the key. I used to be an avid runner and run 5k's and half marathon. I am in my mid 50's but I haven't run in about 5 years need to get the Mojo back. Gosh when you quit for a long time it is really hard to get motivated. Running is so relaxing and clears your mind from all the stress of everyday life. Good to see you back running.
  20. Nord is the most simple keyboard to edit and use than any keyboard that I have owned. But in a live situation what you gonna do break out your I-phone and edit the Mojo really. Nord is right in your face very simple. I like the Mojo for the vintage sounds.
  21. The Purgatory Creek Rhodes in my Kronos is better than that the Nord Eps. IMO.
  22. Are the pianos in the Grandstage same as Kronos?
  23. While I agree Yamaha bought into FM with the Montage also.
  24. The only drawback is that the Wurly may need tuning more and is a PITA to tune. Brush up on soldering skills. I agree Wurly is better for rock and Rhodes better for funk and jazz. Good luck in your decision.
