  1. Alas, from now on don't do Sam Ash, Guitar Center,ect... always felt that demoing a board was beneficial in a potential purchase but never knew who was "playing" before me.
  2. Have the pianos improved? Played one a while back and was not what I expected given Yamaha's rep.
  3. Steve Martin's a world class comedian, actor, writer & musician. I believe he started out as a banjo player and took a side road as a stand up comedian, what an amazing career!
  4. Hmmm, RD-88 in combination with the FA-06 has endless possibilities (mine has the DB-1 Ocean Beach drawbars)! Wonder if Axial sounds will be available for the RD-88? The PHA4 action was one of the main reasons I loved the RD-800.
  5. I know the YC61 is the Yamaha version of Nord so maybe there'll be a YC73 & YC88 weighted hammer action? That would be awesome but pricy.
  6. So are you stuck with one rendition of a tone wheel organ or can you adjust drawbars?
  7. The "all-in one" board doesn't exist... ;-)
  8. If Yamaha could add some organs off the YC61 in the next OS update...
  9. I'm hope they'll be a better demo of this.
  10. Sweet song fitting for a couple of rock icons... I hear a strong ELO influence.
  11. Ed is the best & the real deal!! We've met several times over the years & he's just down the road from me (I'm in Spring branch just outside of San Antonio). ;-)
  12. I love the RD-2000 but I admit I too miss the PHA4 action.
  13. I noticed none of Ed Diaz's fellow demo guys from Roland or the other companies have said anything on social media, maybe out of respect or they fear for their own jobs? Pretty much everything I learned on the Roland products over the years has largely been due to Ed, he's also responsible for many of my Roland purchases.
  14. Definitely sucks! I know Ed (he lives just down the road from me), you couldn't meet a nicer & smarter person. His life was Roland products & being the joyful ambassador of the company, Roland has great products but somewhere in "suit land" someone made a bad / sad judgement call.
  15. Your own personal riser... nice.
  16. And will it accept sound libraries from the Forte?
  17. I've not been able to test druve the PC4 but I've heard it has a synthy hammer action. How does it compare to the Forte?
  18. NS3 or Forte 7 for sure & they're not heavy boards. I use the Kronos 76 for cover band needs , just wish it was lighter. Any of these boards have stellar sound quality.
  19. Guess I'm an old fart but he comes off as annoying to me. A very masterful young musician on his way to being a master artist, but like most of us when we were pups tends to use everything in the toolbox at once because he can... I respect the awesome raw talent for sure, but not the lack of discipline. To be fair he's discovering who he is right now & we happen to be witness to it, when the childish dust settles he'll be churning out some excellent music for sure.
  20. Just got my F7... not much in terms of organ editing, just the very basics. EQ'ing helps the overall tone but still not quite there, I was told by a very reliable source tone wheel, EP & AP upgrade ON THE WAY.
  21. This is excellent!!! Thanks to all for putting this together & sharing... reassuring to see these session artists are just normal guys making a living like the rest of us only on a much higher level. ;-)
