  1. Sometimes you feel an artist shouldn't be hawking a product because it's beneath their standard or our expectations... but they gotta pay the bills like the rest of us. if I was offered an endorsing deal (within ethical reason) & it pays the rent, hell yeah.
  2. SATB from the church hymnals is always a good warm up. Russell Ferrante has some four part exercise that are great!!!!
  3. The dancing machine & sax guy monster, Lenny Picket I believe is the current MD on SNL. Yeah, CT is the master of funk solos & pocket on the organ board & pedals!!!!!! Jim, you're pretty funky your damm self BTW!!!!!!
  4. I've always been a huge BJ fan, that being said... the facts that he still fills ( and sells out) stadiums & we're even talking about him makes him relevant to the times. That in itself is badass but then add that his voice & playing & catalog have stood the test of time. Respect!
  5. I set up the adapters as directed and everything worked! Now it's a much cleaner keyboard space in the church & for gigs. Again thanks everyone.
  6. Yes Stillearning, the TS worked with the sustain & rotor since they are indeed momentary and the TRS works perfectly with the sustain. It's one of those "obvious" details that slithered under my radar, thanks for your help. I'm definitely going to also look into the Redco right angled colored cables eric, again thanks to all for your help... problem solved.
  7. Yes, you stated the obvious. So why does the TS work on the sustain but not the volume? Wouldn't one work for all the pedals... it's an honest question. Thanks
  8. no, more like this... Sorry for the billboard.
  9. I've often wondered why the big manufacturers don't make the 1/4" cables for pedals (volume, sustain, rotor,...) right angled, It would help in tight fitting KB stands & just makes sense. I tried some right angled adapters but they only work on the sustain for some reason. Has anybody found adapters that work for all pedals? Thanks
  10. For what the keyboardist brings to the table 50 clams is... scraps. Pass.
  11. Thanks for the reminder... that can happen to anyone at any age.
  12. Depends on the needs of your gigs & your hands (arthritis, ...)
  13. My music mistresses (fill in the blank of keyboards since the late 70's ) have given me knee & back surgeries that will haunt me forever but the moments of pleasure... well worth it.
  14. Is all this "AT" & library limited time specials an act of a sales marketing "Hail Mary" from Korg?
  15. What I hate is when its obvious it's about to rain & the band leader calls another song, and all he brought was an acoustic guitar.
  16. A total inspiring master musician & also one of the funniest!!!
  17. And to think, Nord used to be the leader of the pack.
  18. Oldster here,I've also had it with decades of dumpy bars & such... corporate & higher end restaurants are great & pay better and are way more appreciative.
  19. I have the Forte 7 that I replaced my mighty Korg Kronos 2 with. The Forte's smaller size (fits perfectly in the Gator 61 key case), weight & authentic sounds are just what I needed for the two cover bands I play with. Like any board you need to tweak & massage some sounds to taste but overall I'm loving it actually more than the Kronos. David Weiser sounds add to the gumbo brilliantly & there are plenty of tutorials to assist.
  20. Wish I knew what he was saying.
  21. Yes! Orchestra sounds… EDM is OK, but doesn’t really help us guys that play in cover bands & need the standard bread and butter sounds. Yamaha makes great orchestra sounds…
  22. I think the Hamburg has a great sound! It’s clean and crisp and really cuts especially on the high end, still playing around with the EQ on it.
