  1. well said jo jo. keep on coming Behringer. still waiting for the pro 800
  2. standtastic all the way. I have two of them a two tier and a three tier which I bought additional arms to make it a four tier. the most adjustable stand out there.
  3. korg wavestate. I saw something on youtube when a guy commented on how his wavestate could be used to score an entire film. since I have several synths covering bread and butter sounds this synth is totally different than anything I own. I thought my hydrasynth or my waldorf blofeld was totally different from my other synths, which they are, but the wavestate is in just another world of it's own. an unbelievable synth.
  4. for me the best stands out there are Standtastic stands. I have two of them. a double and a triple. totally adjustable in all directions and totally solid. once you get use to it, set up and tear down is not bad at all. I would never own a stand like the apex that bounces when playing. I can't even stand to watch someone on youtube playing a keyboard that is bouncing.
  5. very new to the wavestate. I finally managed to make a new set list for myself. now I am going through the factory sounds. what I don't know is how do I load the factory sounds that I like into the new set list that I made, which now is empty. I am not good at all with synths as I just edit factory sounds or buy libraries for my synths then save them for quick recall. could you please walk me through step by step how to do this. thank you in advance.........Larry........lsjanca@aol.com
  6. korg wavestate, from the you-tube videos I have been listening to I'm really impressed with the sound. just bought the waldorf blofeld and the hydrasynth but this should be quite different sounding
  7. thank you again. no doubt I'll be bothering you after I buy the wavestate.
  8. I ran through your posts and try to learn from them. I read the wavestate comes with 740 programs, 240 performances and 1000 wave sequences. what I am wondering how many factory presets(sounds) comes with the synth. I am one that is a newbie to programming. with my other synths, I just go through the presets, edit them and save them. if I get 60 presets saved, I am happy. I usually buy library of sounds from people and then save the ones that I like. I researched a couple of sites that sell their sounds and it really impressed me. so my question is, how many presets come with the synth and how much space is there to save them for quick recall(in addition to loading them in the favorites category. will I have any problems loading the purchased libraries. thank you in advance for your help as your reply will determine if I buy this synth. thank you again.......Larry
  9. need some help and some opinions here regarding the korg wavestate. I like the sounds you can get from the wavestate(demos on youtube). with my keyboards, modules and software, I have all the analog and digital bases covered. was wondering how difficult is the wavestate to edit the factory sounds. I am not very good at making sounds from scratch, really not at all, as I usually buy the sound libraries for the synth or just edit the factory sounds. finally does anyone know the difference between the wavestate and the modwave. are they basically the same. thanks in advance for any help..........Larry
  10. if I may ask....what 130 patches and where did you purchase them from
  11. GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!MADE MY DAY
  12. just had to give my two cents here. I purchased the waldorf blofeld and the asm hydrasynth desktop. very impressed with both of these. not that I didn't have enough of options as I have Yamaha MODX and two other Yamaha keyboards, arturia v-collection 7, NI Komplete 12, Korg minilogue XD, behringer Poly D, BehringerDeepmind, and quite a few VST plug-ins, the blofeld and the hydrasynth have great deep analog bass sounds, analog pads, digital pads, fm voices, etc. they both really surprised me. just posting this as help to someone who wants something completely unique sound wise.
  13. for me, not one store beat sweetwater prices and their free 2-year warranty.
  14. hello there, my name is Larry, I live in Tequesta(Jupiter, Florida). I would be very interested in getting contact information for your bass player. I have a few things I would like to be repaired on my Hammond, thanx........954-274-6631
  15. I have quite a few speakers ranging from Bose to Mackie. I was looking for a small speaker for when I go out of town a have time to study one of my synths. I bought the behringer 208D. it completely blew me away(and some of my musician friends). the volume, sound and quality for an 8" speaker totally surprised all of us. on top of it, you can't beat the price.
  16. go with the modx, personally I don't think you will be dissappointed.

  18. been dealing with sweetwater for years. to me, the best. a few times in the past I wasted my time and priced an item from other stores. not once did anyone beat or match the price I received from sweetwater. I do buy quite a bit from them and now if I don't like the price they gave me I just tell them come on you got to do better. I also like their technical support and the extra year warranty. I'm not a fan of the return policy if you don't like the item, they will take it back. there is enough information and demos of the items on the web for anyone to view and review. I do a lot of homework before I buy an item.
  19. had every yamaha keyboard you mentioned. the MODX6 is far superior and ahead of any other yamaha I owned.
  20. hey Josh, just wondering how the scene in the quarter is doing. drove through the quarter about 6 months ago and it made me sick. just about everything was boarded up. I live in south florida now but I really love and miss NOLA. I lived in Violet, south of Chalmette, and played all over NOLA including the quarter and west bank years ago. will be there in april and hope everything will be back to normal............Larry
