I am connecting midi out of my Prophet Rev.2 keyboard to midi in of my Waldorf Iridium desktop, then midi thru of my iridium to in of my Novation Peak. is this the best process or is it better to run midi out of my iridium instead of midi thru to in of my Peak.

totally surprised last week when I stopped by Guitar Center in west palm beach, florida. they never had any decent keyboards in stock, this time however, they had the new OB, a couple of Moogs, yamaha and korg. the keyboard room was quite full and the synths were powered up.

I was visiting Baton Rouge and went to see 3 dog night at the casino. not bad. the keyboard player had an old dual manual hammond keyboard facing forward and to his right another keyboard. I could not see clearly to identify the keyboard to his right. it seemed strange looking from what I could see. I am very curious and will be happy if someone out there knows what keyboard he was using. thanx.

owned a couple of these back in the day. they were great. I'm surprised that no company is doing a remake of these stands.

standtastic. the most adjustable stand on the market, room for pedals on the bottom and very sturdy.

I have been reviewing all the posts and videos I can find before I finally purchased it. I haven't spent too much time with it yet since I wanted to update to the newest operating system. from what I played so far, it's a monster. just might be my go to synth, and I have a bunch of plug-ins and 14 other keyboards. go for it, you won't be disappointed.

everyone that has a certain keyboard that they bought will always be the best to them. I have always been a Yamaha person, so I like the MODX

I have a 6-way power strip that I plug a few synths and wall warts into. where the power strip plugs into the wall is behind a lot of equipment and very difficult to get to. is it ok to just leave everything plugged into the power strip and just turn the switch off on the power strip, or should I unplug everything from the power strip.

waldorf iridium desktop, strymon nightsky, behringer 16 channel line mixer and cherry audio GX-80.

need some advice and opinions on either strymon night sky or blue sky. I heard big sky is better for guitars rather than keyboards. I would be using the pedal for all my synths, which I have thirteen of them. also, what would be the best way to have the pedal set for all the keyboards. all the keyboards are going into my mixer. I'm guessing just use aux send and return on my mixer. never done this before so asking for advice. thanx.

same her, before I buy a synth, I go through all the user reviews, patch libraries, youtube videos,etc. I always hate to hear someone purchasing it then returning it to the dealer before the trial period is up. yes, the days of going into a local store to try things out is all but gone. why should the store take a hit when someone did not do their homework. if the returning continues, I wouldn't be surprised that it will become a thing of the past just like insuring your gear, when years ago people were abusing the policies and just destroying their equipment to put in a claim.

wondering if purchasing a rev.2 is a good move since I do have a novation peak(plus several other synths). is the rev,2 very close in sound to the peak?

I have a little trouble getting to the back of a couple of my synths in my music room. would there be any problem if I left the midi in or out cable attached to the synth I am using and not connected to anything else. same with the usb cable , is it ok to have the usb cable connected to the keyboard and the other end open and not connected to a computer. that way if I need the synth hooked up to a synth module or a computer the cord is there easily for connection.
