  1. Great to read accodales regarding the update. I have a C2D and am eager to try it out as a controller. Thanks, Arno!
  2. I just got the Arturia Keylab 88 and Nexus2 plug-in by reFX.
  3. I bought this tonight and it is very inspiring. I have used VB3/L'otary for some time now, but can't imagine going back to them. The mic distance adds a great amount of air to a really fantastic tone. They did a marvelous job sampling with this set. I highly recommend. No dongle required, I activated straight to my laptop, but I have two more authorizations available. DaveinWV, thank you for raising our attention to this great set.
  4. L'otary is fantastic. The 147 in particular is really great.
  5. Assign two midi tracks simultaneously, one to VB3 and the other to L'otary. Be sure to turn off rotary in VB3.
  6. My experience with the fa08 is that the action prevents me from using it as a controller due to its velocity settings. For reasons unknown to me, I cannot use it to play external piano samples in VILABS or Komplete without lacking nuance or subtle velocities. I have a RD700nx and it does a fine job. I have toggled with the velocity settings in the FA08 endlesslessy with no Luck. So, while I love the FA08 for what it can do internally, and am used to the action; using it to control external piano samples in Mainstage is unusable.
  7. Have you played the FA's SN APs/EPs/Clavs via the S90XS keys at all (via MIDI)? I'm sure it would be a world of difference and better experience than just playing these SN instruments using the FA-06's lower quality/non-weighted keyboard action. I have done this and it changed my mind on my original assessment of the wurly sounds. They don't sound/feel right on my 06 but play much better when triggered by a weighted controller.
  8. Anyone with a Fuji X100s? I hear good things...
  9. Does the FA-06 keyboard feel good enough for organ and synth lead and pad parts where you also use a weighted action or better quality bottom keyboard for AP and EP? I guess our expectations at this price point shouldn't be that high. I think so.
  10. The organ is certainly passable going sub out through a vent. This thing has so many SN synth tones. It's really nice. Playing piano/e.piano parts on the 06 leaves a lot to be desired but for someone who has piano action covered, this is a great keyboard for synth/organ (w/o drawbars).
  11. CEB, They do to me. They don't feel as good as the JX-10 or D-50, but I wouldn't expect it to. The Wurlys stink. Sad stuff there. But there are more pads and synth sounds than I've had any any other Rompler.
  12. He is right, the lack of AT is a disappointment.
  13. @tonysounds: Sweeetwater. They said they would update me with shipping info.
  14. I ordered the FA-06 today...based on Dave's video. I have a Stage 2 and C2D and figure it will cover the rest of the bases. Thanks, db.
  15. Joe Henry, "Scar." The very first song has an incredible saxophone solo from Ornette Coleman. It's dope!
  16. John Scofield "A Moment's Peace" Larry Goldings on Hammond and Piano throughout. His b3 on I Will is worth a listen.
