  1. No one, not even a country music fan, would dare...
  2. An experience 20 years ago in Memphis is relevant how? They still do that in Memphis. This is 200 miles East and 20 years later. Let me tell you about my Leslie simulator 20 years ago...
  3. Adan, well put: $100 for the best sounding VI organ I"ve ever played was a no-brainer for me.
  4. Indeed. Quite helpful. I really appreciate this level of info.
  5. Can you specify what type of events you are referring? Time Jumpers is a regular event and the Broadway scene is full of rotating cover bands. NashvilleScene.com and Do615 are my recs for live event listings.
  6. I"ve been hired for a project that may lean on some nylon/steel string guitar samples playing simple melodies. I"ve listened to some demos and have some rather simple libraries that have them as an after thought (Omnisphere & Komplete). Amplesound and Orange Tree Sound good. Wonder if anyone can share any experiences or recommendations. Thanks so much!
  7. Hope they made it home. Broadway is like a frat party without all that pesky higher education, frontal lobe activity, and closed-mouth breathing. 'Y"all come back now!'
  8. Right now, Time Jumpers are Monday nights @ 3rd and Lindsley. Can"t beat 'Em.
  9. You will likely get a variety of responses here. I believe hotel prices in Nashville are among the most expensive in the country, particularly around CMA Fest. I recommend looking at an Air BnB and taking ride shares down town. Be prepared for hot temperatures and massive crowds. I recommend the Don Kelly Band at Roberts Western Wear for live music. Most of the bands downtown are playing current country hits and Journey, ad nauseam. Don Kelly plays mostly pre-80s Country and serves as a telecaster chicken-picking training ground. DK Band is not to be missed if possible. Station Inn and 3rd & Lindsley are my other recommendations. Be warned, lower Broadway is absolutely nuts and typically avoided by locals at all costs. Check out BroadwayUncensored2 on Instagram for what you may encounter. Do615.com is another good resource for live music. Endless good restaurants in Nashville: Margo, the Yellow Porch, Etch, Prince"s Hot Chicken, Jack"s BBQ, City House, Lockeland Table, and many others. Lastly, if Reese Wynans is playing anywhere, go see him and get your feelings hurt! Have fun!!!
  10. Thank you. My family is safe. Lost a great venue, Basement East. Friends lost a lot. Waiting on word from others. Very lucky.
  11. Dave Frank is deep! I recommend you check out Open Studio too: https://www.openstudiojazz.com/
  12. Thanks for sharing your struggles and your goals. Have you considered Cognitive Behavior Therapy for chronic pain? https://www.webmd.com/pain-management/features/cognitive-behavioral Regardless, I hope you find relief and am glad you find joy in playing!
  13. I"ll bite: a standard 2-5-1 in F? ð
  14. Congratulations, Sam! Place looks great.
  15. Another cool thing about app is that if you have more than 61 keys, the notes below low C act as easily adjusted drawbar presets.
  16. Steve-use a Leslie simulator if you can.
  17. I have been using Wurlie since Steve N turned me into it upon its release some years ago and I am quite pleased with the VReeds piano. I spend most of my music career adding traditional electromechanical, tone wheel, and acoustic keyboards to recordings in the studio and at home. For me, investments in instruments that sound remarkably like the real thing are a must-have. Otherwise, I would stick to stock stuff and my existing library. Ravesncroft, B3X, and VReeds are quite inspirational instruments I feel good about using, and I am grateful for the technology and price-point.
  18. In the interest of critical thinking/fairness: Any chance he contributed to his departure?
  19. Gigged with the iPad version last night one one tune and didn"t experience pops or cracks, buffer setting on 128. Anyone else using live?
