  1. Hi, when selecting the pedal to lower, you have to hold that button for a couple of seconds. The red and yellow indicator lights will illuminate. With my Mojo pedals connected, I found that you just have to tap the pedal button. Only the red light for the pedals will light up; not the yellow light that indicated the pedals are on the lower manual. Then pull out the bass pedal drawbars you like and you'll now have bass only on your pedals and the lower manual will be just that, the lower manual. Let me know how you make out with it. Joe.
  2. Hi, 2nd perc setting with 16' or 8' db with reverb and chorus or flanger will get you into some funky e-piano territory.
  3. Piece of cake!! Glad you guys got it down and nobody was busted up. Enjoy the ride now. Joe.
  4. Even better; a band of brothers, great showmanship and chops. Enjoyed the clips, been too long without gigging here for me. But my choice. Thanks again David.
  5. Yes! please do. I would love to be able to drop tracks back and forth with my band mates using Mojo 61 and laptop windows 7. A friend sent me his NI Komplete 6 interface, which I started to download drivers and programs etc... couldn't access NI as he already registered the serial number, and downloads for ABLE never took. Frustrating, so maybe this usb unit is the ticket for an old dog like me? Any input form members would be very welcomed. Thanks guys, Joe.
  6. Hi Samuel, nice find as you know. I would follow advice already given, and looking at the overall picture of getting the pair out, I would definitely use a good shop vac with a HEPA filter as well as a filter on the exhaust end of the vac even if you have to fashion a sock or cheese type cloth around the port with some heavy duty rubber bands. The less air blowing around up there the better of you'll be. As far as the actual move, maybe you can get a couple of 2" x 12" x 16' boards and secure them together side by side with cleats on the bottom side, and even secure this "ramp" to the staircase, who knows what shape those steps are really in? This is risky but if you guys can slowly slide the organ down to the landing,it might be easier or safer than carrying it? Maybe even secure a good soft rope around the organ under the lower manual for a couple of guys to hold it back from up top, while a couple of guys on the bottom support the load coming down? Like I say, Maybe. I did this with a spinet L-100 going down a very steep and shaky set of stairs, and it worked well, albeit it doesn't have the heft of a console. I'm sure you and the guys will kick around some ideas before the move, wishing you well with the move and project. Good luck and be careful! Joe
  7. Hi, I caught this the other night and really enjoyed it; well made, enjoyable, and educational. i personally will never be in that league, and that;s ok. I can appreciate the commitment, discipline and sacrifices the families made for these talented people. L.C.'s final piece was outstanding. Catch it if you can folks. Joe.
  8. Thanks Jazz, not being on the facebook, I appreciate this edit. Ill dial it up and give it a try. Joe.
  9. Nice work Man, thanks for sharing the intel as well as Rus, Den, and Jim.
  10. Thanks Moe and Eric, a shopping I shall go. Joe
  11. Hello to all; not playing live anywhere for the foreseeable future and my band mates have asked me to use Adobe Audition to record tracks so they can keep our music going for friends and fans. I can use any of my boards but need some help getting up and running. I have a HS sk-1 61, Mojo 61, and a Mojo dual. I tried using a USB cable from the organs into my computer, a Dell running Windows 7. (Old Hammond player and NOT well versed in recording outside a real studio using a B3 & Leslie.) No luck with that connection, computer not seeing anything. I looked in our search mode for midi to usb cables, and looked online at some available from box stores, music dealers... I'm thinking that something like a Roland um-one-mk2 might work for me? Any direction here would be helpful. Thanks for your time, Joe.
  12. Wonderful pics, stories, and memories gents. Early 70's I had a single manual Farfisa, can't recall which model and that's just fine! Cheese grater for sure. My amp of choice was a black rolled Kustom K 100 guitar amp twin 10 or 12" speakers which was loud and had the pull switch for "bright" and it was. It was a portable rig that I could afford and move around. A couple years later I bought a great 147 Leslie and Hammond L-101 which was great for a rock n roller back then. Sorry, no pics to be found.
  13. Hardware purchases, Roc Sok XT throne and KM 18950 stand VERY pleased with both! At 63 I needed some leg room.
  14. Thanks Jerry for a great share, really enjoyed. Been studying Brian's many YT's and listening to his signature sounds. I've always been a riding the Leslie guy for years, but last year I started using my Mojo with the Rhodes on the lower and organ up top getting me into the BA arena. I've gone back into playing mono through a 22H powered motor-less Leslie in a small speaker cabinet that just kicks it. Very cool to play this way and when the right musos are together we rock it. I run the Mojo dry through a Vent 2 in bypass and when I want to go back to a "moving air" sound, it's just a click away. Thanks again.
  15. Hi Dave, I had a friend over yesterday who bought a beautiful MAG dual manual organ and we went back and forth comparing Crumar vs HX3 engines. Mag wins in top octave cream, but I plan on fine tuning trim trans and really find a gen model , cut/ boost eq that will get me there. Just need a little time. C V was great in Mag, but Crumar is too. We went through a 122 Leslie, Motion kp 500, and my custom 22 h speaker cab. Used Vent as the Mag has a mini built in; didnt use the hx3 sim. I might be in the market since the HX3 is compatible with my sk1 and Mojo. Always interested in improving/adding a worthwhile instrument but dont want a 1 trick pony; appears to be a decent upgrade without another hardware board. Best, Joe
  16. Hi, is anyone using a Mojo dual manual organ as a controller for HX3? Doable? Any hiccups or other issue? My Mojo is about year and half old with current firms. Thanks Joe
  17. No; split will have organ and whatever EV you choose.
  18. Mike, you found the place to be....anyway, I am using a Radial Pro stereo DI with an sk1 and cps. Everything goes to the sound folks and they do what they do. I usually like a flat setting mostly playing organ. Just what I like , everyone has their tastes. Works for me. Good luck, Joe.
  19. Did it; don't do it! Had the prior ss model and figured what the heck. Used an Emi 10" coaxial which is the "bigger" brother of the 8". Did the surgery to the speaker baffle ( waffle if you ask me) shoe horned the 10 in there and the difference was NOT worth the effort. Grab a small bass amp or sub and call it a day. My current cps will remain stock; lesson learned. These coaxial speakers just don't have the paper to push that bottom, but the trade off is great in my opinion. Using an sk1 with it if that makes any difference to anyone. Enjoy Aspen's gift. I am. Joe
  20. Shadow.....have you tried swapping your Leslie settings in the Nord boards? Maybe that will get you in the range you are trying to find. I had a NE2, then NE3, C2 with an older ss a few years ago. The old Nord sims sounded great in the ss; I wouldn't be able to comment on the newer Nord sims. FWIW I am using an sk-1 with the new cps ss and it sounds really great. I am using the amp sans sub as either a monitor or main amp in the micro venues. I know its limits and am I tired of trying to make "things" work harder/better than they are intended to. This coming from a guy who built a couple of custom Little Leslie cabs, as well as a motor-less Leslie tone cabinet. I also ran my Mojo into the cps and again it sounds great within the limits of the box. I played a great venue last weekend with a super FoH system, big band for an occasion with 2 percs, drummer, 3 guitarists, bass, 5 vocalists; point is ALL the stage monitors went to the front of the band; non for the keys, so I pulled my cps out of the car and used it as my own monitor. The stereo bloom thing gets lost in the sauce, and with ear protection in my head even more so, but at least I was able to hear what I was hitting. Worked fine and as intended. Good luck, Joe
  21. Maybe go old school; tape the 2 mics together, and suspend over the SS in an isolation booth, closet...etc.? The enclosure will be saturated with sound. Just a thought...Joe.
  22. No, the mic distance is not separate as far as I know, but you can raise or lower the horn level and the lower rotor level independently of each other. Maybe that will get you in the zone. Also try setting up the eq levels and TC levels.
