  1. My Covid-Rig: Yammi P35 on the balcony. Doing some maintenance on my technique and aspiring to find the ever-elusive acceptable chorus on Giant Steps. Featuring laundry in the background.
  2. Address:7 Yeovil Crt Echuca Vic 3564 Echuca VIC 3564 AU Email:adaminapmsutiw@gmail.com Phone number:0445190466 Looks crazy legit...
  3. Wow, I'm still on Logic 9 and this looks a whole lot different! I recently bought Ableton Live 10 and started to learn it for the live looping capabilities. I wonder if the updated Logic might make Ableton obsolete for these specific purposes.
  4. It's fascinating how we musicians always find ways to rationalize our asking for too little money. I think you should be charging just the same. Figuring out the whole technical setup, planning lessons around the limitations, creating additional lesson content for YouTube takes a lot of time - it should be payed for.
  5. Hi Darren, I have a late 2015 MacBook Air with 8GB RAM and an 128GB SSD. I chose the cheapest possible configuration cause I mainly use it as an office computer/internet machine. I did start to run Sibelius on it and recorded eight audio tracks occasionally. No problems here. I don't do mixing/plugins on it, but for audio recording, it has proven to be just fine.
  6. If I were you I'd find a better spot for that keyboard on the ground
  7. One thing you might wanna look for in the manual is if the NE6 even takes PB and MW midi data. I've had an Electro 3 & 5 and both did not respond to it, IIRC.
  8. Oh God, does everyone honk their horns instead of clapping?
  9. J.S. was pretty ahead of his time - apparently he liked to sight-read through all sorts of Scott Joplin sheet music, hence the Steely Dan tune "Bring Back the Boston Rag".
  10. I'm with you there, Carlo! I think it might have to do with the constant lags, the short audio dropouts and misplaced noise reduction algorithms on the video conferencing apps that constantly forces the brain to compensate for lost information - after a day of teaching (three a week for me) I'm absolutely spent. Hang in there!
  11. IMHO that's my preferred way of working with singers anytime, anywhere.
  12. When I looked for a replacement for that function on my FA06 I got an app called SAMPL, super easy, super basic. I do edit the samples in my DAW beforehand.
  13. Listened to the first volume of the Quarantunes and dug the variety! Some extraordinary stuff on there :thu: I'll be transferring a lil ditty for Volume II shortly, Dave. Here's some info: The tune is a reminiscence of a summer love lost. Scarbee was used for Rhodes. The synth pad is a Prophet 6. The bass was played on a JU-06 module.
  14. Oh boy that rings true to me... I've practiced like twice since April 1st... getting very little done here.
  15. Yeah, I think people are getting way to hung up on the 6 feet - it's not as if you'd get infected germs can't go 6.1 feet. Especially if you sit in a room with several people for a long time. Maybe a sweating drummer. Yummy.
  16. Yeah, they need to build up that acumen by farting in their armchairs for at least 35 years.
  17. In regards to Covid it might be appropriate to speak of force manure.
  18. And that's why you have a record contract and these guys don't.
  19. Can't you do that yourself at home? edit: This is not meant to be a jab at ya. It's a genuine question. I just sat down and played it straight in a few keys. Looking forward to get more harmonic inspiration when I listen back to the people in the video.
  20. Haha, right on, my exact same reaction! Now you can argue if Nord, Yamaha, or Korg have the best Rhodes sounds - Roland has it not.
  21. Now, I could live with possibly contracting a deadly virus, but a way too loud guitar player? No way, José.
