  1. Late August - early September say the good folks who include candy in the box. Jim A. has played it, I believe.
  2. What venue in Iowa City? My son is in Med School there. Thx
  3. I'm working on a very similar project now: converting the NRPN messages from a Hammond XK-1 to CC to control B3-X.
  4. You used all external sounds for your gig, and just had the Numa sounds staged as a backup in case of a failure? Just making sure I understand, thanks.
  5. I ordered a MIDI Solutions Event Processor Plus, which should do the trick. I'll let everyone know when I get it programmed successfully.
  6. Hello. I wanted to use my XK-1 as a controller for my Gemini, primarily for VB3-II. I mapped all the XK-1 MIDI control outputs using MIDIOX, and it turns out they all use NRPN MSB/LSB along with a control value. The Gemini editor allows you to remap the CC values for the various VB3-II parameters, but doesn't appear to be able to handle the NRPN portion of the message. To the users of the Gemini, is this true in your experience? Thx
  7. Anyone who plays in a more traditional Church setting will use the pipe organ, trust me.
  8. I own the Kenton and have never had one issue with it.
  9. Engineering Manager at Northrop Grumman.
  10. We're all blessed in some small way, since we have the ability to be members here. God bless!
  11. Pretty much anytime Geddy Lee or Chris Squire stepped on their pedals.
  12. I rediscovered an album by Xang, "Destiny of a Dream". It's late '90's instrumental Prog. Tasty keys and guitar, and well-composed tunes. No over-the-top 20 minute jams, and just enough time signature changes to keep you guessing. Highly recommended for fans of the genre.
  13. ...and I thought this was going to be a Simon & Garfunkel thread.
  14. Not sure if this matters to anyone. Firmware Version 1.48, Editor version 1.1.2 - Sep 2022 - Fixed some stability issues for some newly built Gemini 2022 edition - Editor v.1.1.2: - Fixed crash on macOS version when saving a Preset - Added drop-down preset list when saving a Preset - Some minor internal improvements
  15. I have used a Carvin MB-12 Bass amp (200W, 3-way speaker system) and it sounded fantastic for keys. It has a direct out, parametric eq, and a compressor. I'm not in the cool crowd here, but I thought it was a rare gem.
  16. As awful as this sounds, in my Church work, it's the choir director. I love her to death, but she'll call audibles live when, between the two hymnals, there are close to 700 songs. She'll randomly call a song change, and sometimes with a key change. I thoroughly enjoy having maybe 20 secs to turn to the page, look at it, pull up a combi, and go in some other key. No, we don't rehearse.
  17. The plugins are most likely from their "Air" series that are being ported to the newest MPC and Force series units.
  18. Multiple nrw videos were posted on YT by GSI for the Seventeen. Apologies for no links in my post here.
