I don’t know about the builders’ opinions, but I know there’s several pedals/brands out there with skyrocketing prices on the used market. I’ve seen pedals from Chase Bliss, Spaceman and others going over $700…discounted.

Next up, the Screen Violence from Old Blood Noise Endeavors. Not exactly new, but “back in the news” because they’ve started selling it in stores outside of the USA- until recently, it was only available directly from OBNE’s website:

This past Saturday, I picked up something new at the Farmers’ Market: garlic scapes. Those are the leaves and blossom of a garlic plant- 100% edible after trimming a little bit of the older growth at the base.
And we tried the scapes last night, served with oven-baked pork chops and some red beans & rice:

They were OK, but not compelling. Flavor was somewhere between green onion and roasted garlic, and not particularly strong. I also may have overcooked them a bit.
I want to try them one more time using a different cooking method. I’m thinking instead of a sauté, I’ll steam them and serve them with a creamy wine/lemon sauce or some kind.

I like the color palette of the second one more…in isolation. In the context of the guitar as a whole, I prefer the first. It’s…warmer. And I think that plays better visually with that body color.

FWIW, I have the Keeley Katana Blues, which was created as a modified version of the BD2. The KKB was discontinued, but supposedly many of the modifications it heralded found their way into the Waza Craft.
Any of those are great pedals, but it’s hard to beat the original, especially at the new, lower prices, and on short notice. It’s an industry icon for a reason. Boss nailed it with that pedal.

Expanding on what was just said, a sustainer system does what it says: it allows for the player to sustain a note or notes as long as desired.

Been cooking again. The main show is my 3rd attempt to emulate my recently deceased maternal aunt’s secret glazed ham recipe.

Been binging on meals made with my beer-braised corned beef.* I cooked two 3lb ones for St. Patrick’s Day, and they disappeared by that Sunday (some to my paternal aunt’s house). So as soon as I could, I went to the store and bought and cooked four more. One got eaten, one we gave to a neighbor we occasionally swap meals with. The other two were cut into halves, carefully wrapped up and frozen.
Here’s some of what we had:
Mom’s St. Patrick’s meal: corned beef, oven-roasted cauliflower, and half of a baked potato topped with green onions, butter, sour cream, and American cheese.
I basically had the same meal, but I crammed everything except the cauliflower into my potato.
This is a sandwich, opened to show the innards. It featured beer-braised corned beef on toasted sourdough, with Cotswold cheese, diced green onions, dill pickle slices, mayo and yellow mustard.On this one, the Cotswold cheese was replaced by onion Monterrey Jack, the green onions by radish sprouts, and the yellow mustard by spicy brown mustard. Also, there was mayonnaise involved.
I typically soak my corned beef a few hours to reduce its saltiness, then braise two at a time for 9 hours at 220degF. The result is tender enough to cut straight down like a wheel of cheddar: no sawing motion required. I’ve braised corned beef at higher temps (350degF) for shorter times (3-3.5 hours) and gotten similar results, but I think the low & slow results in a tenderer end product. I can literally cut this straight down like a hard cheese as opposed to (gentle) sawing.
The braising liquid for a pair of corned beef slabs is typically 2 beers, a half can of beef broth, and a beef bouillon cube.
Besides the braising liquid, the briskets were topped with the seasoning packets, ground thyme, ground black pepper, while 4 bay leaves and some black peppercorns were added to the liquid.

I often think of Fripp, in a period between iterations of King Crimson, when he expressed his aspiration to function as "a small, mobile, intelligent unit." I share that aspiration, to the degree that it's possible.
To that end, my live Novparolo rig consists of a small Guitar Synth (Roland GR-20) and just 3 Guitar pedals (OD, MOD, & Delay), and it all fits very neatly on a Pedaltrain 1 'board, in a hard case. @Dannyalcatraz referred to it as a "Grab-and-Go" rig, which describes it very well.
What I do in the shadows of my Music room, however . . .

I’d expect your electronic rig would make a lot of pedals- the Mood included- almost unnecessary. Or at least emulatable in a cost-effective manner.

I literally don’t have a “good” answer. Singers I enjoy generally wouldn’t rouse me from my slumbers. Instead, they’d probably just incorporate themselves into my dreams. Perhaps dragging me back into deeper seas of sleep.
So whenever I’ve used music as an alarm, it’s always been something that is something aggressive and/or dissonant. Even if it’s something I enjoy listening to, it’s not something conducive to continued somnolescence.
