  1. I still run my Moog Voyager through pedals. I find some chorus and delay add a little something. Although not an effects pedal, I have a tuner on the pedalboard as well. cheers, Canoe
  2. iConnectivity Mio XL midi interface. So far it’s doing a great job of keeping all of my MIDI gear (DIN and USB) connected and working together.
  3. Love me a pedalboard! This was from a couple of years ago. Electro -Tall and Fat - Organ Grinder - Vent - Key Largo Voyager - tuner - Corona Mini - DD 6 - Hall of Fame Mini - Key Largo.
  4. “She’s a wild child, and the love she makes rocks the mind off my brain.”
  5. had the Robbie Gennet article on the keys of UFO’s Strangers in the Night? Thanks, Canoe
  6. As I read the thread I scrolled to the bottom of the page and there was a link to Casio’s Harmonic Mustard! The algorithms are strong! 😀. Well, in all honesty, the algorithm didn’t have to work too hard on that one. cheers, Canoe
  7. This reminds me of walking into Steve’s Music in Toronto some time in the late-80s or early-90’s. They had a used Jupiter 8 and used PPG Wave with signs indicating that they had belonged to Geddy Lee. The tag on the Jupiter said $1800 Canadian; can’t remember how much they were asking for the PPG. Man, I wanted that Jupiter but it just wasn’t feasible at the time. Time can play tricks on our memories, though, so the details may be off. Anybody else remember seeing these at Steve’s? Oh yeah, just like CEB I still can’t afford one! cheers, Gord

  9. The best time travel movie of all time will be released on May 23, 2027! It follows the adventures of a hack keyboard player who travels back to 2023 to post in a forum about time travel movies and tv shows. Also, “Yesterday’s Enterprise”.
  10. My addition to the first list would be Tommy Shaw. The man turns 70 this year and still sounds great singing tunes in their original key.
  11. Protect your hearing, whatever it takes! If a band insists on playing at volumes that hurt, make sure you have earplugs that work. If it’s so loud that earplugs don’t help; move on. There’ll be lots of other opportunities. You only have two ears. cheers, Gord
  12. Why use only one Apex stand when using two can be such fun?
  13. Did you hear about the drummer who was so frustrated with his awful sense of time he attempted suicide? He threw himself behind a train.
  14. Mark Vail’s book “Hammond Organ: Beauty in the B” would be a great resource. I’m pretty sure that’s the book you were referring to presented by Keyboard. https://books.google.ca/books/about/Keyboard_Presents_the_Hammond_Organ.html?id=Wm5yQgAACAAJ&redir_esc=y cheers, Gord
  15. I’m not much of a beer or wine fan. I do enjoy Forty Creek Copper Pot Reserve Canadian whiskey, though.
  16. I fall into the “as many as possible camp”. I consider myself a “parts” player (please don’t ask me to play a set of solo piano tunes!). 😀. I like to get as close to the original sounds and parts as possible, for the songs covered in the various bands I’ve been in. That eats up lots of patchspace. That’s a word, I said so! 😀 cheers, Gord
  17. Thanks guys! I’ll scour the soundonsound forums, Adam. Cheers, Gord
