  1. Hello All: Somebody local is selling a lot of these controllers, used previously for a musical run in Toronto. I see that they transmit polyphonic aftertouch which I find very appealing. Do any of you fine folks have any experience with this keyboard? If so, what are the pros and cons? Thanks gang! Gord
  2. Very rural central Ontario, Canada.
  3. 1988/89- Roland HP 600, Korg M1, Roland U110, Korg KMP 68 MIDI patchbay, and Yamaha KM 802 mixer. Cheers, Canoe

  5. Just read about his passing on the Sequential page.
  6. I was an avid listener to CBC Radio in the 80’s. The comedy troupe, The Frantics character Mr. Canoehead struck a chord with me. At the time I joined the forum I was also a very active canoeist.
  7. A used Studiologic VMK 161 organ plus might fit the bill. Cheers, Gord
  8. I quite like the action of my SL 73, but I certainly appear to be in the minority! Cheers, Gord
  9. I quite like the action of the SL 73, however, as we know, this is very subjective. Cheers, Gord
  10. I really liked using a Studiologic VMK 161 Organ controller with VB3. You might be able to find one used. cheers, Gord
  11. I use a 1/8” to 1/4” adapter and plug the Ipad into channel three of the Key Largo. I’m pretty sure the Key Largo USB connection is not iOS compatible. From the Radial site: “Does the Key Largo support iOS devices? The Key-Largo is not supported by iOS devices. The USB connection on the Key-Largo was designed to be connected to laptop or a computer with a USB port. We do have other products, however, that will work with iOS devices such as the BT-Pro and the SB-5.” cheers, Gord
  12. Thanks for the insight guys! After some further listening, I’m hearing what you heard Shamanzarek. Now I’m off to dissect all the keyboard parts in Baby Come Back, Evil Woman and Baker Street. Cheers, Gord
  13. Hey gang, I’ll be playing Hitch a Ride for a show in April. It’s a tribute show and the band leader wants the parts as close to the record as possible. The organ solo is killer and I continue to work at it. What brings me here today though is a question about the last guitar solo. I think I hear gorgeous, grindy, swirly Hammond in the mix. Am I hearing that right, or is it just the Scholz wall of guitars giving that effect? Looking forward to your insight, now I gotta go work on getting that solo up to speed! Cheers, Gord
  14. The Frere Brothers: Jacques and Sonny Lamatina.
  15. Rudolph and Michael Schenker played together in Scorpions for 1 1/2 albums, Chuck and John Ponozzo of Styx
  16. I wonder if this might meet your MIDI routing needs: https://www.iconnectivity.com/mioxl Cheers, Gord
  17. I"m not sure what he"s carrying but I am certain that he is hunting the elusive Nord Stag.
  18. On the advice of my doctor I changed up what I eat and I"m now following the DASH program. Lost 20 pounds since July, blood pressure is now in the safe zone without the need for meds, and I just feel better in general. I also hike alot! Cheers, Canoe
  19. Hey John, are you looking for a soft or hard case? If it"s a hard case you"re after, I suggest you give Clydesdale Cases in Pickering a call. I"ve been a happy user of their cases for years. Cheers, Gord
  20. Took the plunge with a Nord Stage 3 Compact. Love the immediacy of control to make on-the-fly changes compared to the Kronos. Used it as my only board for a show this weekend and it was nice to reduce the schlep factor.
