DanL
What a show. TOP was amazing. Roger Smith was using a B3 portable and the Leslie 21 and it was real nice sounding. There is something about a tight 5 piece horn section that gets your blood pumping! AWB used an Electro on a few songs. They had a couple guys who doubled on several instruments which was cool to see. The sax player was playing sax and keys at the same time on a couple songs. Definitely a great show to see! retrokeys
Hmm. I knew that TOP was from the east bay (doin' it the east bay way) but I believe that AWB are from Scotland. Pan celtic association aside, there is a difference. The Committments are Irish funk. In any case, I wish I had had tickets to that show.

DafDuc
Saw TOP 10 years ago, and AWB twice - once late 70's, once last year. All memorable shows. I hope they do some more gigs together. And how cool would it be to get the TOP horns in on Pick Up the Pieces? I played in an 8 piece horn band. We would often get bored.
