My Piano (all lyrics and music copyright 1988 by Mark Wolinsky) Last night, when no one was home I sat in the room with my piano I played her, for all of my life But no one was there for the show It seems like the time came to pass For hand-crafted wood strings and hammers I found that with all the new sounds They couldnt replace what they had Those who once played piano fortes They couldnt survive in the future With sampling machines so clean They couldnt survive through the day Last night foundations were laid Emotions were played on my piano At no time were melodies lost And rhythms would cross at the seams Down at the studio scene The sequencer counts with dull precision As soon as the beat box begins The feeling is cast into stone Symphony sounds, no instruments found And nobody knows just what theyre playing The songs rearranged, no change Theyve started to sound all the same Take a last stand for uprights and grands They couldnt have made any finer And when the notes struck, oh yeah I had to look back on yesterday. RABid
Hummingbird don't fly away, fly away. Hummingbird don't fly away, fly away. In you I've found a fragrance. I'll love you 'til I die. I just love you, love you, love you. I don't even know the reason why. Hummingbird don't fly away, fly away. Hummingbird don't fly away, fly away. The sweetness of your nectar has drawn me like a fly. I just love you, love you, love you. I don't even know the reason why. Now, Hummingbird don't fly away, fly away. Hummingbird don't fly away, fly away. This post edited for speling. My Sweetwater Gear Exchange Page

It was hosted by Andrew Denton each week they'd have a band/artist (mostly Australian) that they'd set a challenge for. Incase you're not familiar with any of the above artists, They pick songs that are the almost opposite in style to the artist doing them. Generally the artist re does the song in their own style. QoolSynthEFX
Anything by Yoko Ono, Leon Redbone, and Lou Reed!! But the most insipid song I've ever heard was the theme for the '60s cartoon version of the "The Incredible Hulk". Sorry I don't have a link to it, but perhaps someone else can bless us, oops, I mean curse us with it. And don't forget "Sugar, Sugar" by the "The Archies". BTW a non-descript session band is listed as doing "Sugar, Sugar" since there's no real band the "The Archies", but does anyone know whether or not the lead vocal is David Paton from "Pilot" and "The Alan Parsons Project"? On the "APP" song "Let's Talk About Me" from "Vulture Culture" which is sung by David Paton he reminds me of the "Sugar, Sugar" song by "The Archies". Edgar Summers
Yoko is too obvious a target-I would say she belongs with that William Shatner album that was released sometime in the 70's. It's too obviously bad. However; Quote- There was a song in the 60's "Please Mr. Custer, I don't wanna go" I confess to liking this song a whole lot when i was a kid-still do! Find it Here Say what you like, I give him mad respect. Ricochet
Somewhere around here I've got a bootleg cassette of an album Andy Griffith did, on which he sang a Leadbelly song or two. Who knew old Andy wanted to be a bluesman? "A cheerful heart is good medicine."
