  1. I'd remember the Nord Lead 2x I got for $1000 longer than the girl. I promise you that!
  2. I know I've mentioned this before but our band was referred to as a 'Heavy Metal Yes' which I loved, and a 'Heavy Metal Doors' which I hated. Neither make that much sense as we don't really sound like either, but I'll take the Wakeman comparison anyway
  3. Lol, fun stuff Jazzman, that song's a staple:) It's one of those things where you don't get why it's funny cuz you used to sing it in choir class in 4th grade but then you listen to and it rules. Same with "Why did the chicken cross the road".. I heard it when I was really really young, but looking back it's actually a funny joke, lol. I think anyway. -----The First Joke Dick Came Up With---- (3rd Grade, gimme some credit) Q.Who are the strongest people in the world? A.Shoplifters! Yeah, I should write for Laffy Taffy.
  4. Haven't listened yet, since I'm at work, but if your sports station is anything like ours, I'm sure they'll play it. Just send a couple copies, one to each personality, maybe throw in some free crap (my band sends mini jager bottles to the rock DJ) and that should getcha some play! I guess you just have to hope the sox do well, or your song prolly won't get heard:p
  5. Thanks for the kind words Ben! Yeah, I personally can't stand when I see that a band has a keyboardist and he's just there to fill the music in. In some songs that may be appropriate, but if there's an oppurtunity for another melody line, why not go for it? As far as the sounds go, I definately agree, I could do better. Workin on it now actually, lol. Thanks again!
  6. Alright, got through one page of listening. Most of you seem to be a good deal better than me, lol. I've got to say Keyman Sam, I love your stuff. Especially "The Samurai" and "King of Thebes". The orchestration is tasteful, and doesn't sound too cheeseball. That's my issue with a lot of keyboard only tracks, you can only do so much before it gets cheesy. Very nicely done!
  7. Soon as I get home I'll take a listen to some of the other songs up here, but since I'm (sort of) working, I'll just post mine up. This is my band's EP from about a year and a half ago. Keep in mind I've only been playing for about 3 years at that point, and not very seriously. The keyboard is a Roland JV-1000. I'm working hard on updating the keyboard lines for all of our old songs, and constantly changing and improving my sounds. So anyway, enough excuses, lol. Take a listen. The Unwanted - Cursed Eternity Tolerance Lost - Cursed Eternity Please listen and critique. I have no other keyboardists to talk to, so I've just got guitar and bass player input, so anything you can say would be helpful I'm sure, lol.
