Cover CD? Hel-looooo?

D'OH! Dave, my song has been done for over a month. The very, very last thing I had to do was replace one bar of one thing that somehow aquired some clicks and pops (damn clock!) somewhere. That's done too, but I literally just have to drop by my friend's studio and burn the final CD and send it to you.

I know you're being lax on the deadline (thanks), but I like this tune and wanted to let you know it is real and it is definitely coming your way very soon.

I have to admit, I laughed out loud at that one!

Poor Jeff, did you get picked on at school too? :P

I guess it's all harmless fun from your old Alesis collegues... :D

As far as I'm concerned, any guy named "Jeff" can't be all bad! :)

Best,

All I can say is, it better be damn good, Dano! ;) Of course, with uncompressed 24-bit audio, how could you go wrong?

Absolutely true. It is fun to rip on each other -- who can you insult on a regular basis except your good friends? But out of the hundreds of people that I crossed paths with at my last company, there are only a tiny few that I don't get along with now. Come to think of it, I didn't get along with them then either, so no big loss.

Dave and steadyb (and several other ex-Brand A folks on these forums) are all cool people. And who is easier to pick on than marketing folks? We get to sit around and socialize and be creative all day and get paid pretty well. If I could just figure out a way to add drinking and video game playing to my responsibilities, I'd be in heaven. :)

Mine is leaving Monday. It couldn't decide what to wear, and couldn't pack efficiently. Yeah, that's the ticket.

:)

Actually, I've just been too damn busy to get to the post office...

Cheers!

All of the tracks haven't arrived, so I don't know how many yet.. It sounds like it'll definitely be a single CD, though.

There's all kinds of different stuff.

That's all I'm saying at this time.

Thanks for your patience, folks. Sequencing is almost done. All that's left is tracking bass and vocals and the final mix. I should be able to finish up by Monday (if I can get over this lingering cold). :(

A recent Dilbert:

Marketing Guy: The ad campaign was a huge, huge success!

Boss: Wow!

Dilbert: Define "huge, huge success." How much did sales increase?

Marketing Guy: We don't track those numbers. But I know the ad created a huge buzz because of all the email I got the next day.

Dilbert: How many messages did you get?

Marketing Guy: Six. But that's a lot for one topic.

Boss: Wow! Six!

Dilbert: How many of the six were from your own employees?

Marketing Guy: Who invited the engineer?

Boss: I thought he was with you.

So let me get this right...

You could tell us, but then you'd have to take our B4's (a fate worse than death). Right???

I submitted "do,do,do,do" , better known as Heartbreaker from the Rolling Stones . It was my 1st submitted recording I ever did . The recording was less than 3 minutes .

Since that time I have been recording 1 to 2 hours every Tuesday (day off) on original ideas . I have a bug , thanks to this keyboard corner .....

Thanks dB

FWIW: strange coincidence that Bravo was airing "The Falcon and The Snowman" last weekend as I was working on the piece.

I included 3 originals as bonus tracks for ya Dave.. :)

Thank you, sir - I'll letcha know when they land.

The way that I figure it, there's room for five, maybe six more tunes on the disc. Adiitionally, there's about that many that I've heard are still on the way.

Should work out just fine.

Tunes in today from Bill "Burning" Busch and Phil "Llarion" Traynor.

Excellent work by both. This thing is starting to sound really cool.

I'm here to tell ya - Bart Garratt's Gentle Giant cover is worth the price of admission all by itself.... :D;):D

Mine left today. I hope I'm not too late. We got a little carried away with adding some horn sounds & trying to get good background vocals. So Dave I hope there is still room for mine. It should take about 7 days to get to you.
