...musicians to perform hairy dinosaur prog rock :)

Anyone up for a bit of pomp and grandeur? Want to relive your past? ;)

Got a Kurzweil K2500XS, Roland JV-1000, Mackie 16 channel board, Sonar( as long as we all work with .wav files it doesn't matter what program you use ;) ), Kontakt, Waves, and some softsynths as well.

Anything from the spacy FM type sound to the sympohonic majesty of ELP....in fact I have the full score of Night on Bald Mountain sitting around here somewhere ;)

Bassists, vocalists, guitarists, other keyboard players, even some brass or strings, let's have some fun!

No pets, located near busline, utilities not includd. Please call BR-555 or post me a PM or reply here if interested.

This offer is in no way associated with Amway and any Amway products ;)

Need someone for bit-parts? I've got drums, bass, guitar, and blues harp. I'm not great at any of them (best on guitar or drums) but I can do texture or a basic rythym or two. You can check out some of my very rough-cut stuff here:

I've been using Cool Edit Pro, and It can save files as .wav if that's what you want to work with.

Maybe we could also do something in the pop realm, kinda like Garbage or Sneaker Pimps or No Doubt's last album? I'm kinda into the dance stuff with heavy guitar sounds. Need to find a really hot sounding female vocalist though...

I wonder if Shirley Manson is doing anything this weekend..... :D

Ok, here's a few older pieces I never got around to finishing that really needed work. Maybe we can do something with one of them, if not this will give you some idea of where I'm at musically.

ftp://Music:collaboration@darkon.servemp3.com:43581 (Only one user at a time though).

These are all in various stages of completion but none are finished by any means:)

Let me know what you think, I have more if needed, just pulled these out from the pile first.

If that's what you end up doing count me in for the mix!

I could be into something along the lines of Evanescence- Bring Me to Life :)

Maybe a bit of "classical" sounding keys and strings with a heavy guitar sound and a driving beat, done as seperate sections so as to create tension and contrast. Sound ok? I started out thinking ELP, Gentle Giant, or Yes but I think this could be kind of fun....not that I won't be looking to do a "pure" prog collaboaration later on down the line :)

And PM answered ;)

You know, I've been looking for an excuse to do something, and have been balking at asking for help just yet, so why not? I'm downloading even as I type. I may not have the talent, but I make up for it in black boxes, lit-up displays and LEDs. ;)
This keyboard solo has obviously been tampered with!

I've still gotta find the program. I downloaded it to my computer and need to try it out, but I've been swamped lately. :( Work sucks, and so does college.

Okie dokie, next question, wanna go original or take an established classical piece and "convert" it? ;)

I'm gonna start work on something for the first project this weekend, but I'm off for 4 days for Christmas and 6 days for New Years so I'll have plenty of time for anything :)

I have a really old tune from my teens I could resurrect (recorded on 4 track, no midi), or I'm partial to giving March To The Eternal City by Triumvirat a going over, or anything you may have up your sleeve.

What we record in life, echoes in eternity.

HEY TINDERARTS, WANNA COME OUT AND PLAY!! ;)

That's as loud as I can holler ;) DanS and I are starting to brainstorm some ideas right now, join in and maybe the three of us can figure out something we'd all enjoy doing :)

The same thing I will be doing with ibescotty, bluestrat, and flyscots with the piece above we can do with the totally prog piece. I'll set the server up for trading files once we get rolling. I'd just like to stick to .wav files, that way we can each use the softwares of our choice(and avoid downgrading audio quality to .mp3 each time we send files back and forth ;) ).

Maybe the three of us can hook up on Icq sometime ;)

...if you post it, they will come....

As an avid early-Genesis/Yes/Crimson fan

you guys have piqued my interests...

Can I play, too...? :P

Bonus: I was once in a band with Mike Beck

(original drummer for Happy The Man)...

Hey,

If Bob and DanS are in it, if you need a writer, I'm game. I love working with these guys... in any sense of the manner. I also have the server space that SOMA has been using for our team. We've got 3 songs so far and I've been hoping to connect with MixterRader to get something brewing for song 4... no word yet; but I'm a barrel load full of lyrics. You can hear some of my lyrics on the SOMA project files.
