One URB, one good Electric, one beginner electric from days long ago. Two basss that I play, and only two that I need. Although I am pining over a vintage P-bass for funkifying purposes, as my 5-string electric is fairly hard to slap-and-pop on...

I currently own three basses.

I am about to sell one.

I have no plans to buy another, but we all know how that goes.

Peace,

wraub

I'm a lot more like I am now than I was when I got here.

Hiram Bullock thinks I like the band volume too soft (but he plays guitar). Joe Sample thinks I like it way too loud (but he plays piano). -Marcus Miller

I own several basses and a few amps.

I can get by with just one of each but I really enjoy collecting and playing them.

They are all very different sounding.

If I had to keep just one it would be my 63 P Bass...its just about perfect for me!

I have 4 right now, but my URB is on the way very soon, so I answered 5. And that is not counting my two whamolas.

the line up is:

Ibanez GSR190 with the frets yanking out and '91 carvin pre added with new p'ups. Sounds and feels awesome.

Ibanez SR405 with an OBP-3 I just put in. (main bass)

Dean Radiant Exotica Acoustic/Electric. Very pretty and still smells like wood glue after 3 years.

Crappy POS kit P-bass, which right now is basically unplayable due to a severely backbowed neck that seems like the trussrod is broken.

And on the way is a brand new Shen Upright Bass. I should have it by thursday. Pictures shall ensue if it is picture worthy.

Oh, Jeez; I'm so sorry to hear that... (Not that there's anything wrong with it - at least it's not like those banjo basses I've seen at NAMM. OK, it almost is...)

As of last night, I have 6:

Fender Geddy Lee Jazz bass, customized (binky #1)

Rickenbacker 4003 (the from-my-cold-dead-hands bass)

Musicman Sterling fretless

Yamaha BB605

Godin BG-5

Godin Freeway 5 (check's in the mail)

The BG-5 is a great bass, but it'll probably go on the auction block, only because I'm not sure I really need another active 5-string, after all. I got a great deal on the passive Freeway 5, so I'll try that.

Even so, 5 basses is too many. But I'll live. ;)
