drawback
I had a Fantom-06 briefly but it went back when I found its polyphany reduced drastically when adding layers/splits in building a multi. The CK61 didn't have that problem. It's probably the best board for so many reasons cited for the purposes of this topic, that I've ever owned. 1 Quote ____________________________________ Rod Here for the gear. The CK61 didn't have that problem. Fantom-0 polyphony can be unpredictable. But if you limited a scene to three sounds (the most the CK can do), and limited it to organ and sampled sounds (the only kinds the CK has), I would be surprised if it didn't match the CK in polyphony. But yeah, if you start piling on things the CK can't do (more than 3 parts, VA synthesis, SuperNATURAL modeled stuff), you can task the polyphony capabilities... and unfortunately, they provide no helpful guidance regarding this. Surprisingly, some of their demo scenes out of the box can exhibit this issue. Maybe not the best move if they wanted to make a good first impression. 1 Quote Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our now not-so-new new video at https://youtu.be/3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out! And hopefully I'll have something new here this year. ;-)
