So did I, and I think it was written right after Kodak replaced Kodachrome 32 with the two long-running ISO's that lasted until its demise (200 was available as well). Robert Lamm himself doesn't seem to remember for sure, other than that he realized right away that it should become a guitar song vs. a piano song.
