Bobby Simons
Keith's ultra-concise solo at the end of A Time and A Place. A couple dozen just right notes and the organ sounds fabulous. 1 Quote Yamaha P515 & CK88, Pianoteq, Mainstage, iOS, assorted other stuff.

Mr -G-
🤔 Hm... wouldn't a song with no keys solo (i.e. length = 0) be the winner? (there are tons of those).

No solo is no solo. By definition, “shortest keyboard solos” requires at least one note on keyboard in the context of a solo. In the context of a solo, the song also has to make room for the note(s) to be a solo.

OB Dave
Quote For difficulty, I've got that beat by a mile, at approx. 0:49 below. When we used to cover Soul Man, that "plink!" was the highlight for me. I would consider most of these "solos" to be "breaks" but what the heck, it's all in fun anyway. Which brings me to my current favorite. We're covering this tune in a new project and the Joe Sample Wurli breaks are just too damn tasty. [Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe] That reminds me of the rising synth tones at 1:12 and 2:20 in Manfred Mann's "Blinded By The Light" which function as short keyboard solos.
