Looking for a budget 90s arranger keyboard

Recommended Posts

Im looking to buy an old 90s arranger keyboard. Trying to get one for making karaoke for kids. Would have to be $500 or less.

I need a nice GM sound set with other sounds of course, including some synth bass and reso leads and cheesy ROMpler brass. Im looking at Technics keyboards, Yamaha PSR, and Kawai stuff.

Yamaha MX49, Casio SK1/WK-7600, Korg Minilogue, Alesis SR-16, Casio CT-X3000, FL Studio, many VSTs, percussion, woodwinds, strings, and sound effects.

Ok, responded. Saw a Yamaha PSR-730. Also looking at PSR-2100/1500/3000. Is that good?

Nice. Seen the PSR-3000, and there are plenty of Asian styles on the web for it. The PSR-730/740/1100/1500/2000/2100/3000/S500 are on my list now.

Gem used to do a fine range of arrangers, with proper voice editing too.

Tyros is over my budget. Im looking at PSR models, Technics stuff. And even some newer things, like the Alesis Harmony or Medeli keyboards.

Under 500

The new casio ctx 5000 seems to have made a jump

Or maybe a used MZX500 from that brand

A good old used Roland G70 would also fit your needs..

Tough file management is pretty awfull for todays standards

In the end, i think Korg offers a goody with the pa300 that fits your bill

Maybe even a used pa600..

Yamaha i think a used psr s750 would work..

500 is not a lot to work with, even in the used market...

My advise would be save some more if you want a new instrument

At around 1000 you have semi professional instruments like the psr-s770, korg pa700, roland ea-7... or even good used professional level instruments like a korg pa900 or a used psr 950, both come with a build in quallity vocal harmoniser, which adds miracles for karaoke..

Sorry, I dont know what that is in US dollars. I meant US$. Not euro.

Edit: oh, 500 is more like $700 which is a little over my price.
