Geoff Grace
So sad to hear this. The Brothers Johnson were one of my favorite bands in one of my favorite genres. Louis was a great session player as well. Gone too soon at 60 years of life, RIP Louis Johnson. ProfD
The Brothers Johnson did a great remake of "Strawberry Letter 23" which was originally composed and performed by Shuggie Otis. Louis' bassline was a huge part of the success of the remake and their sound in general. He was a bad mofo. RIP Mr. Johnson.
