henryb_y_o_b
The other night myself and a 4 friends (we are all aged 16 - 18) had an evening session in a local commercial studio (actually part of a sound tech institute - the bass player's brother is studying there and needed a band to record...) We'd never played together as a quintet before, apart from an hour and a half's rehearsal the week before - so all things considered I think it turned out pretty well! Feel free to have a listen, I'm not looking for any sort of criticism (although its probably gonna happen anyway!) - just wanted to share the recordings with like-minded people. I used NI Akoustik Piano and Scarbee Rhodes, played from my CP33. Enjoy Henry
yannis D
Very good playing and very mature for such a young age! You sound good also, but this is less important imo, than the overall feel... Be grateful for what you've got - a Nord, a laptop and two hands
NewImprov
Damn, nice stuff! I wish I had played that well at that age, I don't think I was even aware of Jazz on that level at 16. Nice rhythm section cohesion, very cool arrangements and good playing all around. Keep at it, man!
