To join the paper use only Conservation Grade Tape.
It should be labelled as PH7-70 and be acid free.

Because you are American and one of the vast majority who knows diddley squat about music and artists who do not originate in the damn Us of A.

Brain dead Apple AI

The Korg forum is massive with 81 different sections.
All be it a lot are related to legacy products

Lightweight at 8.4 lbs there can be only one!
Korg Kross 2, a big plus is that it can run on batteries.
No speakers in-built but add a Boss Katana amp, which also runs on batteries. This is small yet packs enough W for a small venue and jamming.
I used this mobile setup for two years and it is vastly superior IMO to anything from Casio.

You found the best
Great progress BTW
For others Newbies
He is also on Youtube.
Worth also seeking out his interaction with Andertons Music Shop as he gives many tips and tricks whilst teaching The Captain

I don't believe this thread is about KBs and guitars being in competition when it comes to the cover-up.😎
It is about attitude.
Meaningless trivia, and juvenile antics.

Yet the guys more front and centre and in the audience eye compared to the keyboardist who is at the back or side, by their positioning the front and centre guys display their choice of Instrument without resorting to lengths of Duct or Gaffer Tape.
A Fender Stratocaster or Telecaster or Gibson Les Paul or SG are so Iconic to a level that no Keyboard can even remotely compete with.
Sorry to upset the apple cart, but that is reality.

Look at a Studiologic Compact
Light in weight and physical size.
88 note keybed which is semi weighted with aftertouch so it may be an ideal compromise keyboard.

If you want to go the arranger route a Korg Pa1000 would be a better choice as its recording is superior and the Styles are less cheesey and in any case you can turn off the Style elements so you just have the drum or drum and bass.
It also has an inbuilt MIDI to Style converter bot.
In the Korg there is the Songbook feature where you can customise each of your repertoire songs and save them in the User bank for quick call up.
Want a Setlist, it does that to, create whatever you want from your Songbook in the order you want them, there is even software to do all this on a PC.

Looks like it is still cheaply made, I cannot denegrate just how flimsy and nasty the controls are on the 2X and these new models look exactly the same.
My Compact 2X has burnt out after four years.
I would not waste any more cash on any Studiologic products.

Good point. I took those figures at face value for that locale, but at least here in the U S, currently the p125 is showing at $699 at sweetwater vs $749 for the p225, so not much of an increase. I wonder if the p125 was always that much cheaper where biggles is, or if maybe that reflects a more recent price reduction, perhaps linked to the introduction of the new model.
The price I quoted in UKP was current which is more now than it was pre Covid -

P125 £489
P225 £799
Quite a hike up in price for what, very Minor changes.

Zero interest in any other section.
Even less interest in Advertisements for any USA Company.
Not everyone lives in the USA.

Watch this, it is one I put together about my Grandfather.
It is intended for my younger relatives who will inherit all my Family History research and it is one of many I have planned.Created using video editing software, not iMovie as I do not rate it. Final Cut Pro or Da Vinci Resolve is better but you can do everything easily on an iPad using Luma Fusion.
As to how to put everything together, that is not a five minute learning task, it take time to learn how to shoot video, ie the various shots to capture and their length. How to assemble the media is an art in itself.
Been editing video for over 30 years and for ten of those I taught it on a free lance basis.

When I was at senior school I started my Bucket List, its changed a bit over the years.
I wanted to get a Private Pilots license, 30 years later I did.
I wanted to own a Jaguar car, did that, but not exactly the one I really wanted which was an XK120
Once I learned how to ski, I wanted to ski St Anton in Austria and Aspen in the USA, both ticked off (St Anton was better)
I learned how to ride a motorcycle, then wanted to ride it at 150 mph, I did that in Germany.
I wanted to swim the Great Barrier Reef, did that too
To see the Northern Lights, one day perhaps
Visit Machu Pichu, no chance now, I’d die through lack of oxygen
I wanted to set foot in every Continent
To visit Venice
To stay in Raffles Hotel
To ride The Rockie Mountaineer in Canada
Currently the most important is to see my Grandchildren graduate from University

Now considering the new Roland DP, home use only, like the arranger and inbuilt rhythms features.
Thoughts?

When are you folks going to learn that there is no such thing as a wrong note.
Only a note played in the wrong order.

Swap out the DS for the 88 key version.
The FA06 action leave a lot to be desired, the 07 has a different action and IMO much better.
Consider a Fantom O series, the same Performances capabilities as the DS and a similar Roland OS that you are familiar with.
