  1. I'm just guessing, but if MSRP is $5,000, that could potentially put the street price between $3,500-$4,500. Still, I'd want to get my hands on one first before shelling out that kind of dough. That is, if I even HAD the dough to begin with.
  2. There's a running shop a couple of towns over from me (Runner's Alley in Portsmouth, NH) that has some nice ones in stock, but they're either not in the size I'm looking for, or they're really expensive.
  3. Here's a question: Can anyone recommend a good, affordable pair of split-style shorts? I wore some 5"s and 7"s (both Nike) on my last two runs, and I'm not a huge fan of either one. Short length doesn't bother me at all. I already own a couple of pairs of Brooks (I think they're between 2" and 3") but as the weather gets nicer here, I'd like a few more.
  4. Went out again yesterday morning, did the same 4-mile-ish loop, with a faster pace of about 12 min/mile. What I might do to change things up, is alternate power-walking with running every time I go out, plus maybe some cycling thrown in. Weather's getting warmer here in southern Maine, and I plan on taking full advantage of that.
  5. Well, after power walking for the past couple of months, plus countless hours on my stationary bike for extra cardio, I went for my first run in about three years. Did just under 4 miles in a little over 50 min. 13-minute mile pace, but considering that it's been about three years since my last run, I'll take it. I found a few different loops around my neighborhood that I like, some have more hills than others, but I like having that option.
  6. OT to the original post, not-so-OT to the thread as it exists now... I was out running and being active as much as I could up until 2017 when I started taking meds for my chronic anxiety issues, and they put me out of commission for four and a half years, due to being tired all the time and lacking any kind of energy. I stopped everything last August and I've really been trying to get active again in the last few months, (which shows, as I've dropped from 260 to 229 in about five months) in the hopes that I'll get strong enough to start running again. I'm power-walking regularly, as well as spending time on the stationary bike, and I'm pretty close to where I can get going again, just have to drop a few more pounds and get my lower back / core stronger.
  7. I heard the live stream, and was waiting for how the Rosanna solo was going to sound with those two players, and we get a sax solo. What were they thinking???? I will say, that the re-arrangement of Georgy Porgy is killer.
  8. I own three. Roland RD-1000 Korg Trinity Pro-X Korg 01/W Pro-X Used to own: Korg Kross 88 (!st generation), had it for about a year from 2019-2020, traded for a pair of Event TR8 monitors. GEM Pro-1, had it for about six months in 2013-14, traded towards an original Alesis Quadrasynth, as the Pro-1 would keep freezing up on me when playing. Kurzweil MIDIBoard, had it from 2006 till 2007, traded for an M-Audio Keystation 88ES because I needed something to play my live laptop rig, and the MIDIBoard was four times as heavy as the Keystation, and like the aforementioned Pro-1, it would freeze up on me constantly.
  9. Haven't been vinyl shopping since last September, but let's see if I can remember what I ended up with. Van Halen debut (remastered, but I still want an original pressing) Journey - Greatest Hits 2 Queen - Innuendo Steve Winwood - Refugees Of The Heart Toto - Live In Tokyo 1980 Kansas - Masque
  10. So many I could choose from, so I'll just rattle off a bunch. Toto IV - Half-Speed Mastered Alan Parsons Project - Eye In The Sky Eagles - Hotel California The Cars' debut Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon/Wish You Were Here Michael Jackson - Thriller Boston debut Pat Metheny Group - Still Life (Talking) Rush - Permanent Waves/Moving Pictures/Signals Journey - Infinity Queen - A Night At The Opera Peter Gabriel - Security/So Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms Phil Collins - Face Value/Hello... I Must Be Going Steve Winwood - Arc Of A Diver Steely Dan - Aja Styx - The Grand Illusion Billy Joel - The Stranger Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
  11. The shelves on the right-hand side are from an apparently defunct brand called Foremost, which I bought from Amazon about three years ago. I'm really disappointed that this line isn't being made anymore, and I can't seem to find an alternative to these, other than a completely custom build. Those shelves contain mostly 70s and 80s rock, pop, soul/R&B, and the like. The two cabinets hold my jazz stuff, as well as my collection of 45 RPM singles, and the milk crate, which was free, holds my classical/soundtracks/various artists compilations. That's how I store 'em... ...and this is how I spin 'em.
  12. Love this album. Also love the 3rd Matinee album with Richard Page. How does the vinyl sound?
  13. Another one that came to mind for me was the Ensoniq SQ-2. Got a used one back in 2006 for around $200, and I remember the sounds being very lackluster and uninspiring, compared to the TS-10 that I traded for almost 8 months later.
  14. My MODX-7. That amount of power under the hood, in such a lightweight instrument.
  15. Pretty simple for me: When improvising, or soloing, I try my hardest to stay away from blues/pentatonic scales, and try to be more melodic with my playing.
  16. Another one I wrote back in 2009-2010 that I re-recorded. https://soundcloud.com/justin-havu/let-my-words-break-free
  17. Nope. I feel the same way. Switching from a Motif-XS6 to a MODX7 as my main gigging machine, it's the one thing that I'm still not quite used to, even after a couple years. What's keeping me from switching back is the immense power under the hood of the MODX compared to the Motif, especially the "seamless sound switching," even though it's limited to 4 part performances, and the fact that the MODX7 is a little more than half the weight of the Motif-XS6.
  18. I like it. As some people have mentioned, I'd be comfortable with longer faders, and move them a little closer together. Wheels to the left of the keyboard would be nice, too (It'd be cool to have a pitch bend and two mod wheels a la SY77, VL1, Ion, or DPM-C8.)
  19. Couple of things from Sweetwater showed up yesterday. Got a 2nd Behringer C-1 condenser to go with the one I already have, and a CT-100 cable tester.
  20. Not FedEx, but had it happen with UPS. Bought a used PC88MX through GC, and when it arrived, the box was crushed on the left side. Sure enough, so was the keyboard.
