  1. I love mine. I've got the 60" 3-tier and it's rock solid. As mentioned above, just make sure the cross-section in front is tightened down and it's all set.
  2. You should be fine. I do that on gigs when I don't brng a multi-keyboard rig, although not with a JDI, just a Hosa passive DI box. I've gone both mono and stereo (using two DI's) with no issues.
  3. Figured I'd give this a bump. I just got my hands on a Dual 1264 turntable. Belt drive, fully automatic, fitted with an Ortofon FF15XE MKII, and it sounds so pristine. Built like a tank, too.
  4. My big issue with the Apex vs. the Tower is the Apex is flat on the floor, so pedal placement is extremely limiting when sitting.
  5. My FCB1010 (which I use to run my band's lighting rig) is about 27" across, and fits just fine under the Tower stand. So your pedalboard should be okay.
  6. Toto IV has been in heavy rotation the last couple days for me. What a great album!!
  7. My range is probably E2 to G4 on a good day, without going into falsetto, in which case I can go up to C5. That being said, I can do quite a bit of Elton's catalog without straining too hard. Billy Joel stuff as well, I just wish I had the power in my voice like he does, an example being Downeaster Alexa.
  8. Only JV I know of that had the red glue issue was the JV-80, I had one a few years ago that succumbed to it.
  9. The JV-80 is a decent board, however watch out for the infamous "red glue" problem with the keybed. It does have a bit of a cleaner sound than the 01, but I myself love the 01--the pad/synth sounds can be enormous. Just depends on what you're looking for, I guess. I should mention, too, that the display backlight may be dim if it hasn't been replaced recently. Those EL backlights tend to go bad after 8-10 years or so.
  10. I love mine. It's small enough to sit on the left side of my Kross88, but it sounds so big. Great bang for the buck.
  11. Been into Sergio's stuff from the '80s lately. What great arrangements! [video:youtube]
  12. 1A is tied between music and working out/running. As someone with high functioning autism (Aspergers) I enjoy them both.
  13. Finally decided to go out for a jog. Was thinking maybe 2 or 3 miles. Ended up doing 6 at around a 12-minute mile pace.
  14. Haven't been out in over a couple years due to anxiety and agoraphobia related to my Aspergers. Same with cycling. I miss it.
  15. Picked up a clean copy of the LP earlier today, along with a stack of other albums. You're right--Phenomenal!
  16. No one's mentioned REO Speedwagon yet, so I'll add the organ solo on Roll With the Changes, and synth solo on Don't Let Him Go.
  17. Had the same issue with my pic, as it's on Imgur. I just resized it in GIMP, saved it as a JPEG, and re-upped it to Imgur.
  18. My band took part in a town-wide variety show at the new performing arts center in Sanford, ME. We only did four tunes, so all I brought was the Motif. Oh, and they let me use that really big black thing with keys, too.
  19. Behringer Model D. Fun as hell. Oh, and it sounds really good, too!
  20. Been listening to a bit of Eldar lately... [video:youtube]
  21. 2-tier Stay Tower model. I really like it. Quick setup/teardown, compact, great bang for the buck.
  22. I was listening to (and playing along with) Elton back when I was 7. It wasn't until 1997 when I received a huge stack of LP's from one of my aunts and Toto IV happened to be in the lot. It really changed my musical life. It's an absolute masterpiece.
  23. This is a result of playing around with the sequencer in my VFX-SD, driving a Motif XS6, DX7, and DeepMind12. TRANSITION
