  1. Traded my Alesis Nitro electronic kit for this monster.
  2. A few questions for you, and I'm sure other members will have some as well. I wouldn't be comfortable with just throwing out suggestions without getting a few more details from you. What kind of music do you like, and would like to play? What kind of sounds are you looking to get from your synth? Are you looking to learn synthesis and programming your own sounds? How much money are you looking to spend?
  3. 4. Forum works on all browsers for me, except Netscape Navigator.
  4. Judging by the single pitch wheel and 88 keys, maybe a Yamaha DGX?
  5. Easy to set up and tear down, plenty of room for pedals as it doesn't sit flat on the floor like the Apex stands, and it's pretty sturdy. It holds up to 40kg (88 lbs) per tier so it can handle a Stage or equivalent. The only thing is that the included bag is not very durable, so I would spring for another bag to carry the stand in, maybe a mic stand bag would work.
  6. Not keyboard related, but some new heads for my drum kit. Went with some Evans Hydraulics for the toms, an EMAD2 for the kick, and an EC2 coated for the snare.
  7. I have a PSR-530 (released in 1997) that I bought used a few years ago for around $100. I have it set up in our church's cafe for when we have our mid-week services. Great onboard sounds, with the exception of the acoustic pianos, and a pretty powerful speaker system which more than suffices for this application.
  8. Can't comment on a music stand/tablet holder, as I don't use either of those live. If I need my iPad for anything, it just sits on the right-hand side of my MODX7. As far as 2-tier stands, I have a couple that I use: an OnStage double-tier Z stand, and a 2-tier Stay Tower. Sadly, Stay stands no longer have a US distributor. They will ship to the US from South America, but the shipping costs could be a lot higher than what the stand is worth. I've had the OnStage Z stand for almost 15 years. It's definitely showing its age from being gigged a lot, and yes, it consists of a million parts, kind of like a piece of Ikea furniture. I just tear it down in two parts: Main stand stays together (two sides and crossbar), and the whole 2nd tier assembly. I will say, that it's the most solid-built stand I own. No side-to-side wobble at all, even with a 95-lb Roland RD-1000 sitting on top of it (not that I gig my RD-1000, mind you.)
  9. QS8.2 doesn't have aftertouch via the keybed, only the 6.2. Wouldn't hurt to check the settings, though. Also, try doing a factory reset if you haven't already. Also, does the pitch still fluctuate even without any pedals plugged in?
  10. No Login issues here. I was able to use my original registered Email address and current password.
  11. I bought one used for around $200 at a thrift shop almost four years ago. It was fully functioning, but the chassis was really beat up, so I found a mint one on Reverb for parts just for the chassis which was in great shape. Spent $300 total on the project. I still love it to this day. One of the best keybeds of its kind, and very expressive. Keep in mind, that the MIDI velocity only goes to 100, so it wouldn't make a good MIDI controller, unless you either tweak some settings on the other end, or get the SuperMax kit, which I eventually plan on doing.
  12. Themes look great! I'm pretty partial to the Bravo 6 theme myself.
  13. Excellent choices, although I'm not too sure which of the OB's I would've put on a top 10 (OB-X, Xa, or 8.) Also, I probably would've ranked the Prophet a little higher up, although I'd have to have an internal debate on which of the polysynths listed had the most impact. My ranking would probably go like... Minimoog ARP 2600 DX7 Prophet 5 M1 Fairlight CMI CS-80 Jupiter 8 D-50 OB-8 (Although I could easily substitute the OB-X or Xa here.)
  14. Looks great! Thanks to dB and the team for all the work that went into this! Just a couple things--when I hit Return while typing, it automatically double-spaces. Any way around this? Also, I'm seeing a broken image link where the banner should be.
  15. A pair of Sabian AA Medium hi hats for my drum kit.
  16. Mac and cheese (There's a restaurant in Manchester, NH that does an amazing job with it) Hot dogs w/ fries Grilled cheese French toast or pancakes w/ real maple syrup Cheese Ravioli w/ garlic bread In other words, I kinda like cheese. Lol!
  17. I will say this about being off my anti-anxiety meds for a while--I feel like I have more energy than I ever did over the years that I was taking that garbage. Can't wait till spring when I can finally get outside for a run or a bike ride.
  18. A little out of season, but here's the last thing I recorded. Threw it together pretty quickly in time for the holidays. O Come All Ye Faithful
  19. I'd be interested to know which bike you end up with. Mine is a Nautilus U616 upright. Not a spin bike, as I wanted to be able to change resistance levels from the control panel. It's super quiet, which allows me to pedal anytime, day or night, without disturbing my downstairs neighbor. Lol!
  20. Thanks, all! The key itself was in perfect shape. There was a ton of nasty white gunk on top of the hammer underneath where the key sits. Cleaned it, and she's good to go.
  21. Played our church's CP300 for a Wednesday night service, and the A above middle C has a bit more resistance to it then the other keys, it almost feels like it's sticking on something. Going to see if I can investigate the issue this afternoon.
  22. All is well. They weren't really doing anything except making me really drowsy and sucking away my energy. As soon as I stopped them and started focusing on exercise, I really feel better than I ever have while on the meds.
  23. Well, I increased my two 20 minute stationary bike workouts to 25 minutes. Still doing one in the morning and one in the evening. Not sore yet, but I definitely have more energy. Hopefully by springtime when the weather gets a little warmer, I'll be back out running as well.
