  1. I haven't checked out his videos in a while.
  2. Perfect for those Beatles songs where you want Yoko singing background.
  3. This video has over 700K views and one comment said that YouTube algorithm sent him video.
  4. I understand that YT is a business. I never complain when I watch on phone but on my home computer I enjoyed the luxury of not being interrupted with ads in the middle. I accept ads on my streaming services so I'm not opposed to them. IMO, just front load video with ads and then leave.
  5. Here's a masterpiece from Chick I never heard before, and we get to follow along.
  6. I remember reading an article about Mulgrew Miller, in which he said he never transcribed. YouTube sent me this and I found it interesting in that Mulgrew plays so many jazz cliches during his solo. I love it, seeing how seamlessly integrates all those ideas.
  7. Curious how you would finger this Wynton Kelly lick. I've thought getting thumb under at C, but I kind of like 123455343212.
  8. I'm sad to say when Head Hunters came out I was not aware of Herbie. It wasn't until Thrust came out and I was starting college that I was hipped to him along with Chick. I love watching the live videos of this period.
  9. Wow, I figured I would add this audio YT I just was gifted from YT algorithm to my thread. Chick's solo around 6:30, although if you're a fan listen to it all. Chick from 1972 on Rhodes from the Light as a Feather period. Love it.
  10. My secret - not peaking to early.
  11. I clicked on this for Jimmy Smith and Cannonball. I wasn't expecting to see George Duke (I know he played with Cannonball, didn't realize how early he'd been playing with him, anyway.) Since there was a Rhodes thread I thought people might find this new to them. I always love hearing new George Duke on Rhodes. 11:30 and 19:20 for his solos.
  12. I've been digging them after watching Adam and Peter on Open studio discuss them in series. This is the first time I heard them play a cover - cool beans.
  13. OK, let's talk NFL... sorry can't let's talk movies....sorry can't SNL....sorry can't politics....sorry can't very rich musicians.....sorry can't ESPN.....sorry can't vocalists who perform in swimwear....sorry can't
  14. I'm impressed with the ingenuity of posters and the restraint keeping this thread non-political.
  15. How about, probably not feasible, for manufacturers to design an additional lid, which would replace, or sit on top, that would be able to support a 2nd board, or computer, etc. I guess Korg and Kawai and other co's. I just like the idea that I could play two keyboards without carrying heavy scaffolding. I know ppl will say Rhodes and similar, but I'm thinking light dp's like Nord and Yamaha offered extra mods.
  16. Feta, spinach, red onion, tomatoes egg omelette.
  17. I'm probably more into being immersed visually, so pipped in music might be all that needed. Although, at most stadium performances the band is also far away, so seeing a band there has got to be better than a large stadium. Obviously, small venues is the gold standard. My latest dream thought is to see Rick Wakeman's Journey to the Center in the sphere. (I did see him live performing that album with symphony in Boston.)
  18. Sure, i agree and a tribute band would be cool. I'm just imaging the graphics of say Close to the Edge, etc. Yes, ELP, Pink Floyd, Santana are bands of my youth but the possibilities of that backdrop would be so sick.
  19. Seeing some videos of U2 at Sphere was making me think of all the great bands and acts that could of been and will be there.
  20. Giant pet peeve of mine. true story: I got yelled at from police officer for not merging earlier.
