  1. Some say (and I do not know if it is true) that the rubs and oils that have some higher bit of THC Content than the strictly hemp products do have, are supposedly more effective in pain control. Plus the rubs probably will not get someone high maybe the oils will, but I think not the rubs, and roll on products. (By the way we make our own brownies in house)
  2. We have the medical card here in house, so I am still familiar with it . When I come to Ca. however my first stop is Torry Holistics in Torry Pines Ca for a little bit of edibles. And in Clear Lake Ca. I stopped in to the local dispensary there and got some edibles. I don't smoke nor vape it anymore, just light doses of edibles.
  3. The 3% CBD, according to the lady whose class I went to, is neutralized by the overwhelming amount of the CBD to THC ratio of the hemp plant. I take CBD every day, and feel absolutely no psychedelic effects of the small amount of THC in hemp based CBD. I was one of those hippies at Woodstock, and I can assure you I am experienced, & I know what the effects of THC are.
  4. Full Spectrum CBD oil from hemp does contain 3% or so of THC. However since CBD oil is legal in many states, I think it will be less of a problem. However you can buy CBD products with the THC removed, which is what the truck drivers use successfully.
  5. Told them all at my last visit with each specialist and the primary care doc, non of them seemed to think it was a problem.
  6. I put 6 drops on my left palm and lick the palm (this is after my morning shower of course). They said to put the drops under my tongue but that takes a trip into the room with a mirror so I can see what I am doing. So I just started doing it that way. The residue in my palm will of course absorb readily.
  7. The type of CBD I use comes from the hemp plant a cousin of marijuana it has very little THC in it. As for marijuana I use that as a recreational and sleep aid bit of therapy......
  8. I use Indica laced brownies for sleep. I take a small amount of the indica brownie each night about an hour before bed time. I usually wake up in the middle of the night several times (enlarged prostate issues) and I can get back to sleep till about 4 to 5 AM.
  9. I went to a seminar on Hemp CBD oils (which are now fully legal in the USA) So I bought an $80+ little bottle of hemp oil (this one) www.hemplucid.com/collections/all/products/mct/?attribute_pa_strength=500mg from the lady who was teaching the seminar. I learned a bunch about CBD's from her and began taking 4 drops of the oil daily. I have to say that the use of CBD oil has sharpened my brain up a bunch, and it totally eliminated my finger bone joint problems from guitar practice, and mitigated the other arthritic joint problems to minor irritation instead of sharp pains. Of course I bought the next dose on line for about 20 bucks less as indicated on the link above. The bottle is only a small bottle but I have been taking 6 drops of it daily for about 2 months and I still have half a bottle of the first bottle left. I also learned that just because it is CBD it is not necessarily the best option, so going to the seminar I learned the difference in how the CBD was extracted from the hemp plant and the CO2 extraction is the best (she said) which the bottle above is done in that way. The one thing she taught me was that our bodies have natural cannabinoid receptors because we as humans have always ingested the hemp and marijuana plants as a matter of course. It has only been since the 1930's or so that it has been outlawed in the USA and other developed countries, and our bodies are starved for that kind of intake. At first for the first week or so, the CBD oil acted like a slight dose of speed until my body got used to it. So I do take my dose early but it no longer has that speedy effect on me.
  10. I tried a fuzz pedal a long time ago in the 60's and again in the 70's. Never bonded with them however, so I have not used one ever since, and from the sound of those samples above, I am not impressed for my tonal needs.
  11. Yep. Beck is one of a kind. All by himself, no one else plays like he does.
  12. Welcome to the forums Wes.
  13. My little Egnater Tweaker head is 15 watts, and I use it at very low volumes. However it is pretty loud when I turn it up, Deluxe Reverb loud. I do not use controlled feedback, but I do use a tube overdrive stomp which imitates controlled feedback and under/overtones to a small degree, so I just use the sustain of the pedal to get a small amount of that. Of course it is not like my long gone hundred watt Plexi and the Sunn 6-12 cabinet, but it suffices for home use. If I played out of course I would use my Hot Rod Deluxe, but I do not foresee that happening in this lifetime. I think the Tweaker head could stand up to a moderately loud situation however. I was surprised at how loud it is back when I bought it.
  14. Can't help with that J.Dan, all I can say is; that I never got the same effect as a cranked tube amp, and positioning myself in front of the cabs for that feedback and over/undertones. Nowadays I sit at home with a small amp and pedal board and practice my stuff at super low volumes. Haven't played out since the late 60's and early 70's.
  15. @DBM.Out of curiosity, what gauge strings are you using on your Strat clone? I use D'Adderio XL110's 10 through 56 on all of my guitars
  16. I am not saying I fully agree with Jeff Beck, I just thought it was an interesting thing to guitar players, and maybe liven up this forum a little. I do agree that the Strat or its clones are very comfortable feeling against the body, no sharp edges to dig into the ribs etc. As for tone, I use a boost and EQ on my blues driver to fatten up my Strat clone and give the guitar more oomph.

  18. Welcome VeronicaL. +1 on Larryz's post above the top looks just like an Ovation.
  19. I like Duncan Distortions in the front/rear pups for my hum-bucking guitars.
  20. +1 DBM, here's a sample (for d et al) I posted in the Birthday Thread about a week ago: [video:youtube] Way cool larryz, I was away in Southern California again for the first part of the week camping on the Ocean Front. So I missed this one until today.
  21. 50's, 60's, 70's music, very little after that.
