  1. That amp looks real cool. I am wondering if you can also play your backing tracks through it, and the backing tracks will not be altered in tone for amp modeling or patch changes to the guitar part of that amp.
  2. RIP Danny, I was an admirer of Fleetwood Mac from the Peter Green days up until Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham joined, after those two joined I became a big time admirer. Always a great band but with those two added, it went from being great to super-stardom.
  3. Reverb is the only effect I use. I do use tube overdrive pedals too, but I don't consider them an effect. However, lately I have been using a delay and compressor on one patch for one song from my Digitech RP-155 modeler, and it is tempting me to get a compressor and a delay pedal. The RP-155 was bought for it's ability to do intelligent harmonies, and I use it for its tuner as well, but I experimented with a second sound with delay, reverb and compression, and I am suitable impressed.
  4. Happy Birthday To Elvis Costello, plus he is married to Diana Krall the talented jazz pianist and singer.
  5. Happy Birthday David Crosby. I liked his work in CSN and CSN&Y. I especially like him after seeing him on Tavis Smiley one time. I like his thoughts on social issues....
  6. Saw him on the Jersey Shore when he was with Junior Wells It was in a bar upstairs called the Rip Tide in the Schooners Wharf buildings. I sat 10 feet from them and was amazed all night long. Buddy played an ES335 that night. On one tune he shut the whole room full of semi drunk white folks (which I was one of) by turning the volume control down on the 335 and started picking single notes on it un amplified. The whole room went from loud to dead silent and then he eased up the volume little by little playing all by himself, then after a minute or so of that the band came in. I became a big Buddy Guy admirer that night and still am Happy Birthday Buddy, and many more happy and healthy ones as well.
  7. Happy Birthday Whitefang, and many more happy and healthy ones as well. Also to Steve Morse one of my very favorite guitar players. (They are putting together a Dixie Dregs reunion), Those guys together were simply awesome musicians.
  8. I saw Santana live on their first national tour at the Arena in Philly, on a bill with The Youngbloods, Canned Heat, and Chicago. Santana came on next to last as Chicago had the bigger fame at the time. but Santana was absolutely outstanding that night, the rest were fair to mediocre. Happy Birthday Carlos long may you live and play.....
  9. Happy Birthday Ricky Scaggs, and also Martha Reeves. Long may you both live.....
  10. I am a big fan of feedback, undertones, and overtones. I can get that stuff out of my amps at relatively low volume with my tube distortion pedals, and from my now gone Pod XT which gave wonderful feedbacks etc. even at whisper volumes. However I remember the days I had my hundred watt Marshall Plexi. I got the most amazing feedback, undertones, and overtones from that thing when turned way up. I had marks on the floor that I could get certain tones from the direction I was standing, and if I moved from that spot it turned into something else as interesting. But the sound was Earth shattering. I am amazed I can still hear well. I do have a slight tinnitus ringing in my ears but over time I got used to it....
