This song is so haunting. A masterpiece in my opinion. Great organ solo. One thing that struck me while trying to play this tune real quick by ear a couple of years ago was how non intuitive the vocal melody was in relation to the chords. And how brilliant it is!

Love it for so many reasons. I love the Chopin Etude open on the piano. I love his energy as he enthusiastically greets the camera at the beginning of the vid. And his playing is still hip and full of touch and so many delicious bits.

This has to be 'Cause and Effect' from season 5 right? One of my favorites

Freaking Excellent

Think these will be included in the next Komplete?

I upgraded from Mojave to Catalina last week. It's working better than Mojave actually. My UAD interface was causing obnoxious little error messages at shut down and startup. Now it's smooth again.
Apple sure doesn't make it super easy to find an older OS to install do they?

Chuck really has the dream gig as far as I can say. Absolute top top 1% of touring gigs playing with the Stones as you know you will be treated like beyond royalty everywhere and travel in the most first class fashion. And get paid well into five figures a show -- to play some rock and roll and blues keys!!

This looks awesome! Can't wait to see the whole thing.

My Music Masterclass has a 10% off sitewide sale on all coure bundles. This is the keyboard section - some big-name instructors include Mike Garson, Andy Laverne, Larry Goldings, Russell Ferrante, Kenny Werner, Jeff Lorber

I like their classes and the Russell Ferrante videos are real good and I like the Kenny Werner videos too.
Geat videos. The Brian Charette vid from a few years ago is bomb.

I have it with a Yamaha FC-4 pedal on my S90ES. It works quite well, it is a neat effect for realism when playing solo. Less noticeable with a singer or sax player. Not noticeable in band context. Like string resonance it"s a subtle thing.
I thought it was the Yamaha FC-3A that did the half pedaling?

My typical process is: Google the image for the first page of the sheet music. If it looks dead accurate, maybe buy the whole thing. Then AB against the audio of the tune and adjust accordingly.

Was planning on taking me wife and 19 month old daughter over to my sister's 20 min away. They have 2 middle schoolers. And also my mom heading over to theirs. So 2.5 households. With the unprecedented spike going on, I am reconsidering even this moderately safe seeming get together. I want no part of this virus.

As an aside I just went back to read some of those 2004 posts and I'm shocked at the different tone the forum had back then. Certainly grateful for the evolution and diligent moderation for setting a more civil tone.

Cross posting from KB corner:
What a colossal loss. Didn't know he was that old, but I guess it makes sense. Philingaines said of him on a recent podcast that Bruce made the music sound 'three dimensional'. What an apt description.

I was going to post something similar to what Bif_ said but didn't want to come off as needlessly cynical. I hope somebody gets something great out of this. But I suspect there won't be much of anything revelatory in it.

Me no like. 1 is fine. 6 pushes actual KB threads down and off the page, and after 2 they aren't funny. I sound grumpy and lame. Maybe I am!

Nothing wrong with this: Greg is the man afterall that threw down so many of those amazing synth bass lines on the MJ records.

I have nothing remarkable in my rig that would turn any heads around here. I haven't sold my Motif Classic, XS, and I still have my Montage. That's as wild and crazy as I get.

This is why so far I just haven't been able to justify adding my laptop or a third board to my regular top 40 rig. That and stage real estate and schlep. I wish I could but the extra factor of cables and bits and bobs and management of all those pieces is such a PITA. But it's FUN when you have it all set up, it's true!

I would murder for that much room for my stuff

The Entertainer.
It is! And missing a 16th rest. Or adapted to 7/16 time.

My condolences, Synthaholic. The Braves played really well.
Best,
Geoff
Going into the playoffs, I thought the Padres were going to be tougher than the Braves. I was mistaken. It was a well-fought NLCS by both teams.
We lost our best two pitchers the week before the playoffs started and we never had a 5th starter. Almost every game was a bullpen game. We couldn't make it with that.

David, you're really inspiring / tempting me.
My Spider is showing its wear and tear.
Exact same boat for me. I've had mine for 5 years now and it's looking raggedy and is kind of flimsy. Still so handy for breaking down into a mere tube, and still has its own sleek thing happening on stage. But I like how solid the Gibraltar looks.
