  1. Thanks, had the JBL Eon 1 as well - as you say very low SPL which is why I swapped it out for the EV Evolve 30M. Got a pair of those now. Using the Cube for some digi accordion and small restaurant/busking gigs. What is that other speaker you wrote about there (in bold)?
  2. Got a Roland Street Cube EX, which in concept is a great bit of gear 6-8 hours on batteries...twin speakers so you can get a stereo keyboard setup running (albeit a narrow field) with lots of other nice on-board features - https://www.roland.com/au/products/cube_street_ex/ However the 8" speakers are a little thin (and get a bit "farty" at higher volume levels) for my liking so I am going to swap them out for these https://eminence.com/products/820h PianoMan Chuck already did it but with different speakers (Jensens) and after reading the specs between the two I went for the Eminence ones...higher SPL and lower bass response. And something about hemp speakers is , well, just cool. I'll post some pics of the conversion and an audio sample once they arrive.
  3. Yes I have two of those units at the mo (Swiff Audio), but the size makes them a bit awkward to fit into the spacing of the jacks. Plus the quality (not the sound but wi-fi operation) is average. Was even thinking of breaking the shells and removing all the parts to make a "bespoke" unit with standard jack inputs.
  4. thx guys...good suggestions. Some area bit tough to find down here, though I am looking. Folks from Shure recommended BLX188CVL dual lapel system + 2 x WA302 instrument cables, about $1200 in our money so not cheap!
  5. I'd like to ask what the latency is like? Usage example? Getting the send from a mixer monitor channel. No backing trax. Sorry for the OT question...
  6. cool, thx - where I am in Oz, not much chance of that hahaha!
  7. I've seen lots of mono wi-fi guitar systems, but I cannot seem to locate any stereo units that one could use with a keys setup? IE, twin transmitter (perhaps even using the headphone jack?) and then being able to split to tow channels on the mixer (out to a stereo PA system) Does anyone know of any? Thanks
  8. Never learned any other scales than major and minor - never bothered with "modes" - I simple play what sounds good and what I like. I have never practiced a solo, ever...it's always what I am feeling on the day! Which I must admit, on some days (to others I guess) means it could be pretty boring hahaha!
  9. Don't know why folks just don't look at the Intel NUC series. They all still have USB and USB-C ports...Plus cheaper in a few cases.
  10. Thx...just bought it myself as well! It's very good - will sit nicely with Pianoteq iOS as my most recent additions to the "stable"
  11. Been using these SWIFF units - https://www.artistguitars.com.au/buy/swiff-audio-ws70-uhf-guitar-wireless-system (that's Oz pricing btw) for some months now. Been rock solid and I have tried using a pair to run a stereo signal and it works fine. I mostly use a mono stack so I only tried it as an experiment. The only issue I have noticed is if they are too close they can drop out but once you have around 4 feet of space they are solid.
  12. TBH, I've thought of busking many times, but as a solo, the very mundane issue of using a toilet and leaving gear unprotected has always stopped me!
  13. Yes I really think Modartt have kicked a 100 yard field goal here. Brilliant!
  14. Be aware however that Camelot does NOT host IAA apps - it is strictly AUv3 only!
  15. Anything music (as in music app related) iPad Pro all the way! Even the 1st gens still "cut the mustard" with intensive apps!
  16. I was on the beta test team and have had it for quite some time now. TBH I only use the most basic of the functions using the Pianoteq Stage Model as I find it does pretty much what I need. I found very little if any difference to the PC version. It ran rock solid on my iPad Pro (3rd Gen) alongside several other apps (some which are know to be slightly resource "hogging") no issues at all and the sound is very very good with a great hand to ear connection. Stand-alone or in a host app, this is an excellent job by Modartt. It's a little more expensive than other similar apps - but I dare to suggest it may well be the last piano app you'll need to buy!
  17. Nice new Indy Oz Rock band - Beggar Man Thief https://beggarmanthief.bandcamp.com/community
  18. TBH, I think Fatar are overly demonised - they re not that bad really...especially when considering some of the cheaper Yamaha Roland and Korg keybeds which folks are "forced/compelled" to like, simply because they need/want the soundset.
  19. Had a look at the website - no info there on purchase/obtaining - how does one go ab out buying it? and what are the costs?
  20. Thanks Elmer - yeah, haha I saw that one. Probs be easier just to figure the dots mesself! Appreciate the post though The melody itself is pretty easy. Sounds like he's got some quarter tone stuff happening in the orchestrations though. It was why I was looking for a chart - could figure it from there I'd think.
