  1. I’m know, this was for future products. I think it is a clever and technically cheap way to solve the restriction Apple make with connectivity. But of course I will prefer a more solid USB connection if possible.
  2. I just played a bit on mine, and hear what you is hearing. But as an example on program 1 - if still like original in your. Turn down the string resonance and as a start, turn off the reverb. Way to much String resonance, damper noise and a too long reverb tale. After that it sound more authentic. As far as i found, there is only one upright in there for now. That’s one sound like something old with dampers that needs to be replaced 😬
  3. I don’t want to try to quote you AnotherScott, it used to be a mess from my IPad…. But some sort of easy transfer should at least be possible. Just look how Crumar are doing it. Here you might need a computer to transfer your sounds over on an USB drive, but then you can reach your unit through a built in Web interface and transfer the files. Something like that would be a great improvement. I am just thinking about musicians that are traveling in to a rental Nord, or have more than one unit. It would make life so much easier if you could bring your setup with you on a thumb drive and transfer the ready to go setup from the USB drive and your phone.
  4. Totally agree, and if they could simplify the connection so we could use an iPad or tablet to transfer and arrange sound, programs and samples, it would be a big plus. The only thing I need my old MacBook for is when I am doing this.
  5. AnotherScott explained exactly how the sustain pedal should work. If the notes is still hanging when you release the pedal, your polarity on the pedal might be wrong. There might be a switch on the pedal itself, or as far as I remember also in the global settings in the menu on the Numa. Another thing might be the pedal noise. From factory it is turned up way to high. When you have a program with a piano in, go to the knob for the active piano - left side of the display, just below the sections volume knob- and hold down the square button below it. Now you can turn down the Pedal Noise. Default it is set somewhere halfway up at 65 or something. I have dialed mine down to 7-8’ish.
  6. BTW - Supertramp Is it a microphone hanging over one off the speakers on the Wurlitzer ( visible in the beginning), and it is the only place they take the sound from in this setup?
  7. I found this page after a search for minor blues scale : https://pulse.berklee.edu/?id=4&lesson=73 I have been a lazy anti theoretical player since the mid 70’s and do not read scores, more than one for one note, where I have to count the lines. I prefer to play by ear, the music just came to me - I think some time to easily. I have tried sometimes to dig more into the theoretical stuff, but it feels like reading a manual for a washing machine …. But I often feel that I am playing the same lick again I have played several times, just in another key, so I think it might be time to practice some of those scales. Funny enough, I do often play the minor blues scale without knowing it was what I was playing, but it might be useful to learn and mix it with some of the other scales.
  8. Nice ! Might hope they will bring better EP’s as well. Especially The Wurlitzer is a bit weak in my opinion. But at least they have the nice bark I always have missed in the Nord samples. Then a new OS with more control on the editing of the synth sounds. It seems like the first two controls ( can’t remember what it was - cutoff and resonance? ) doesn’t seem to have to much effect. I would love to be able to shape for example a pad sound darker, with less presence. My Legend works great with this. Oh, and double up on the FX’s . Same option on FX A and FX B. As far as I remeber, it is not possible to add both tremolo and drive to f.ex a Wurlitzer program, since both effects is only available on FX A. Lastly, I have a little issue. I am lazy, so on the first three programs or what they call it when you rotate the Main Dial, I have added the sounds I need in the four slots, and activate what I need here and now by choosing the corresponding Audio Zone, but for some reason, effects and settings from sounds programmed in f.example the slot nr 2 affect the sound in the slot nr 4, even if the B slot is not active. Annoying, perhaps time to read the user manual 🤨
  9. I enjoyed the video, but I think it would be better as an add on controller. Something that could sit below whatever keyboard you wanted to use it for, with some kind of tube in tube ( think adjustable curtain rod) leveler, and also adjustable bottom plate that could be placed below your keyboard. Output to keyboard midi in ( with a few possible adjustments for the correct CC and value), and wham, a new multi controller.
  10. If you are thinking eletric, the new VW ID Buzz looks interesting, but I am in doubt it can take a Hammond and Leslie behind the passenger seats. But a cool retro car. I have no idea about US pricing. https://www.vw.com/en/models/id-buzz.html
  11. I have a relatively observation. Some keyboards today is built up in a way that every control from keys to sustainpedal to every tweak able controller seems to communicate internal to the sound engine through the Midi protocol. So if you have one single midi glitch, the whole keyboard goes silent and unresponsive. My guess is that it is constructed this way so it will be easier to implement the midi protocol for sending and receiving the same controls through external midi. That might be a reason for the 0-127 resolution.
  12. I think something happened belong the newer IOS updates that limited the current draw from external accessories. When I still was able to use my PlugKey, it often started to buzz and be unworkable. Otherwise it was a brilliant product as long as it worked. The same happened between my relative new IMac and my USB hub - dead or unreliable. A bit annoying when you have several USB things you need to switch around - plus that damned ILOK key 🤨 Some of my keyboards those days work directly between my IPad and keyboard(Midi and sound) with a small USB C adapter and USB A to USB B cable.
  13. Great find. Shipping cost, especially overseas is ugly nowadays.
  14. Another Source here in Europe, perhaps you can combine it with something else that might have a favorable price to “reduce” the shipping costs. https://www.musicstore.com/en_DK/DKK/Koenig-Meyer-Base-Plate-for-Folding-Table/art-ACC0007413-000?campaign=GShopping/DK&ProgramUUID=b3HAqJargM8AAAFlxJRyjI8m&gclid=Cj0KCQjw4omaBhDqARIsADXULuWefjoRGpzQyXK54rYWg44SKIAk7B6LXrwTYPZF8Imo77NGqWar0swaAgU4EALw_wcB
  15. Well, that is one of the reason I recommended some kind of a bag for the stand. It happened for me twice, luckily I found it once inside our band trailer, second time between the trailer and the rehearsal room. They came loose during transport.
  16. Just a few pics to show how compact the Numa is (73), compared to the Legend 70’s that work out as a great stand 😄 Both play nicely, the Legend has more sounds and effects, the Numa have the great option to use the 4 extra inputs, and the TP110 is a bit snappier and a bit more dynamic than the TP100 in the Legend. For gig, clearly the Numa. For home I prefer the Legend, it is like on a Hammond vs a clone, it feels more like an mechanical instrument. They said size doesn’t matter …… Both have nice AP’s , the EP’s is a bit weak on both. The pitch/modulation wheels, even if strange placed work fine on the Legend, it is a joke on the Numa. And the Legend doesn’t have aftertouch.
  17. I have to add, it was not because I wanted to try the A iPods, it was the concept they used to reduce the sound pressure, but still let it in at a more safe level that was interesting, combined with your own mix inside the phones. I have as well been thinking of a solution with a condenser microphone somewhere on the stage that could be blended with my own mix. Challenge is that I would need a more complex mixer for monitoring. I invested in a 24 ch Presonus mixer with that idea, but some in my band refuse to use it. Last time we discussed In Ear, someone mentioned the Westone, but they are crazy expensive over here, and those I found seemed to be wireless Bluetooth connected.
  18. I just stumbled over this review on YouTube about the latest Apple IPods. I dont need them, but it was something interesting at the 5:24 mark where he explained a bit about how the noise canceling worked together with transient mood ( lots off unknown words here for me, so excuse my spelling). The interesting part was that it passed sound through, but leveled it down to an acceptable level. Perhaps it already exist in in ear monitoring ? Otherwise it might be a clever soloution too avoid feeling to isolated when using In Ear in a band situation?
  19. It is a Wood-burning stove. An older model from here : https://www.scan-stoves.dk/produkter/braendeovne
  20. Ok, didn’t know. Nord use 76 keys, and the TP400 might be to heavy or expensive?
  21. I wondering if they will change to the new Fatar keybed in some of their models. As now, only found in the Studiologic Numa boards ( TP110 and TP400W) that is Fatars own brand. Perhaps they will keep it exclusively in their own products for a while ? The TP400 seems like a great keyboard based on reviews, but I think it will also add a bit to the weight. I have the TP110 in my Numa X 73, it is a great upgrade from the TP100, without adding much or anything to the weight.
