I can’t find that update anywhere. Mine says 11.01 . Found out that it needs Sonoma. I guess that when my 2018 IMac won’t serve me anymore, it’ll be time for a Mini and a nice big screen.

It look very much like the MIMI hearing test that have been better integrated in the IOS. You had to go through a lot of steps and settings , but then I got some eureka moments, for a little while. But in typical Apple style, it looks like they invented it. There is a thread here somewhere- Apple Ipods as hearing aid- where it are discussed. I tried it for a while with my band, but couldn’t get used to it, and was often in doubt if it worked or not, since I also used my Ipods on my IPad and might have turned the transpancy mood off. I will give it a try again when it will be released, but ironically, I prefer my old airpods or whatever they are called with cable for most of the time when listen to online music or making phone calls.

Well, I understand a bit of it. In one of my bands the drummer brought up an old Deep Purple number where it is a lot of organ screaming on the upper most octave, and I can not get it sounding other then shrill and thin from my Mojo61 or same runned to B3X, it has way to much treble and missing bass. My QSE 8 monitors is a lot of the reason, they have a sharp mid/upper range. I got a nice round sound from my Adam studio monitors here at home, so I have also had the idea to grab my Leslie, or to try my 1. Generation Vent to tame the beast. I know it would sound a h much better with the Leslie, but then I have to struggle with extra microphones and stands to be heard, and my homemade preamp solution might not be road worthy. I have not missed my Vent since I got my Mojo, not before we started on this number. But the Vent brings more cables, setup, and I dislike that simulated swish swish sound it emulated, that was not possible to bring down since my Mojo need a lot of gain.

I didn't see Joe Sample on that list, but then again, I don't know much about jazz.

Found it on Spotify, might order a CD later. Interesting mixing, but no PF magic. So far Dark and Velvets Nights are my favorite. When the guitar solo kicked in on Scattered, it reminded me of Comfortable Numb, the rest of the song not so much.

The article is behind a paywall, but I have read some reviews elsewhere and will get the album in some way and make my own decision. Problem is, I haven’t bought something physical (CD / LP) since it disappears from the local stores many years ago. The streaming options don’t get me the same value, and time to sit down and really listen, examine the cover and so on. I still have a CD player at home and in my car (well actually it is a combi DVD player), so I guess it will be available as a physical media from a online store over here soon.

I think the last time I got a wow, was when I fired off the demo on my Korg M1. And with the high quality of the samples. 15-20 years later, not so much on my Kronos. Even it could do everything except making coffee. I never bonded with it. My first Nord Stage was a bit wow, much because it was so dead simple to navigate , morphing and WYSIWYG, and there was several ways to the goal. The rest are slow evolution in my opinion. Same happens with Smartphones, everything are getting better, but nothing really groundbreaking since the first iPhone. One thing that looks like an interesting thing are the Osmose ( as others have pointed out), except I can’t see myself having any use for the sounds in it. Paired with a Moog or other analog engine and a synth with samples, perhaps. Except that would be too costly for my toy budget.

After I discover the Roland DP 10, I have replaced most of my sustain pedals with one. The soloution with the rubber plate under your heel prevent it to slide away. I don’t think you can use it instead of your FS since it use a TRS plug, but perhaps you can copy the solution and find a thin rubber mat you could mount to the bottom of it ?

Have you consider the Studiologig NumaX 73 ? Half the price, half the weight and better keys (TP110). Nice Wurlitzer and acoustic piano in it ( even if I think the Nord are better). Built in mixer, so you can run your NS through it, also combine it with something with audio over USB if you wish. Combined with a NS Compact, you should be well covered in.

Found a used Lap Steel at a good price, was 5 minutes to late, it was stuck in my head, researched a bit more and order this today together with a slide bar. Not to expensive If it didn’t work out for me.

Tumbs up, hope he have some great shows. It is not easy or cheap to travel and play in US if you’re living on the other side of the world. One channel I am following with the UK based guitarist Chris Buck tells about it in this video :
