  1. I am a big fan of table stands ( had a Spider Pro for a short period, found to be too unstable, and a bit difficult to place my pedals where I wanted them), K@M 18950 with stackers works great for me, but won’t stack up flat without de assemble the stackers. The K&M 18880 with 18881 stackers is another stand I am using. This can fold up flat, but I will recommend some sort of transport bag, as it have a couple parts that could got lost. https://www.k-m.de/en/products/keyboard-stands/keyboard-tables/
  2. Than you should have a look at the Viscount Legend’s 70 as well. It have that lovely retro look, and a large flat top. I have that and my NumaX here at the moment, will try to compare the Wurlys. But the Legend is a bit more clumsy to transport than for example the Numa.
  3. The latest update for Numa X was a nice improvement for the Rhodes sound. I’m still feel the Wurlitzer is lacking behind on it, compared to what else I own or have tried. It’s like it are missing some body. Both was superb in the Seven, but the keyboard was to heavy for AP. But then, on the Seven it was a control for touch that might it doable for AP, problem was it was a global setting, not pr. Program. The feeling when you close your eyes and played the Rhodes on the Seven was like playing a well maintained Rhodes Mark I. The perfect keyboard would have adjustable pivot points for the keys, or something….
  4. This synth have flown under my radar, or I saw the price tag in this post and tried to ignore it. Got this video in my feed today….. I just need to win the lottery, and get a job as a film composer. Sound fantastic, and more in my ballpark compared to the Osmose, but that’s only from my opinion from what I have heard from demos. But not sure how practical it works out with only one knob to dial, and the rest from buttons.
  5. Same here, Compact 73. At the moment with A.Piano, E.Piano, Sound module and the Synth module installed. I used it for a while in one of my bands for rehearsal , but when I also joined a second band, I missed one here at home where it do it’s duty. I think i prefer this one over my Numa X73, but it is way more bulky to transport. But I needed some time to adapt to the keyboard on the Legend, and prefer to dial down the brilliance and dynamic when playing A Pianos. Before that it felt like to little range between minimum and maximum velocity, but after a while I adjusted to it. For gigs, I prefer my NS3 ( even if it is the not so great HP model) and my Mojo 61. Sound and function on this two cover my needs. And the NS are so much faster to tweak on the fly, but of course also in another price range. I have turned 60, and prefer a light load 🙂
  6. Mine is dead silent, both through headphones and mixer. Do you have another board on top, or a computer connected through the USB port that might give that famous ground loop noise ?
  7. They can sound pretty similar, but I guessed correctly each time, perhaps because I have owned both. Personally I prefer a Wurlitzer for sound, but not a real one. I have done my duty in replacing broken reeds …. Never broke a tine. There are something special with the sound of a Wurly, perhaps small imperfections in the tuning that give it a vibrato effect in the sound. The Rhodes sound more static.
  8. No risk of hum if the original power supply are placed inside the cabinet?
  9. New update 2.2 released https://www.studiologic-music.com/blog/2023-10-04_numaxpiano22/
  10. There is no delay on the cutoff. But don’t expect a Moog like ladder filter, this one ar more gently, and typical Sequential / Prophet. I just stumbled across this video that show some examples from the mod matrix. Nice sounds, but from his own programming, and he know what he is doing. Now, back to that strangulated cat sound here …. 😬
  11. Specs says 2 x XLR or 1/4 jack. Weight 16 kg. But those Boomboxes use to be very bass heavy, not sure how they will work for instruments.
  12. The Drive In are not new. Bought one a couple years ago, and I think it’s more for guitar. I tried it on my A100 on a line out, and only thing I got out of it was reduced bass. I placed it in a chain with a Vent to compare, but nothing like the warm growl as from the Vent.
  13. Back from the gig, and I used them as sidefill. It sound very good and balanced on stage. Some folks from the audience told us it sound great out as well, so this will be repeated. I checked the settings on the EV, they was on “Music”, I sat them over to Live, but have no clue if anything changed. And we didn’t need any other monitors. The volume was not crazy, we played with a lot of dynamic, and could hear each other clearly. Luckily, we have a drummer that plays drum, and not only smashing them 👍
  14. I have a gig tomorrow night with my second band, the first gig with this band. It is an outdoor gig on a small stage with around 60 guests. Drums, bass, guitar and vocal, and then me on keys. We have decided to play on the back gear, and only use the PA for vocals. Normally my keys goes to the PA, and I use my two QSC as monitors in another band, and will bring them with me as my amplifier. Now they should act as my main amplification - or, I was wondering if it was better to run my keys through the PA, and link the PA speakers up to my QSC and use them as sidefills against ourselves? I have read up a little about sidefills, and it is a bit for and against it, one of them is phase cancellation. I hate the sounds I am getting through our main speakers in rehearsal, it is some kind of EV 10 or 12”. My organ is drowning in bass, but I saw there was some digital adjustments on the backside of them ( something similar to that on my QSC), perhaps they have been tweaked to something strange. I know they was borrowed to a party where they was used for playback from a MP3 source, and since then I thought they have been worse than what I remember. But that is also the reason I am in doubt and might prefer my QSC’s that I know. Any thoughts?
  15. As I wrote, the price will came down… it was listed at 699 a few days ago 🫡
  16. It have what I am missing from my Uno Synth Pro - lots of knob. Great raw analog sound, but cost is to much, I would expect a keyboard included in that price point. But usually, prices will came down after some time.
  17. Was it a new unit from a store ? Then you should have warranty and ask for a repair or return, no reason to DIY. It sounds like a defective unit, transport damage or something.
  18. In my experience, it have to be more than one kind of TP100. For example, the Viscount Legend 70’s Compact and the Crumar Seven both should have TP100, but feels very different. On the Seven, it feels like the pivot point have been moved. Heavy as H, but very similar to a Rhodes Mark 1. I know the velocity curve can be tweaked, but it feels like more than that is going on. The TP110 in Numa X I am using in one of my bands is in a better league in my opinion, but I can easy adapt to the Legend I have here at home.
  19. I couldn’t live without my purple Ibanez stereo chorus pedal on my Rhodes Mark II (Suitcase). I got a Small Stone phaser from my parents back in the 80’s, but couldn’t find a use for it back then, and left it somewhere. When the first better organ clones came out ( Nord C1), my Hammond gradually lost to the clones, and a Vent was needed for the last growl. I still used the Hammond at rehearsal and a few gigs. Then my Leslie was down for a year or so, and the Vent was connected to my orgen. A Hall of Fame was added. When I finally got my Leslie fixed, I used the vent from my Hammond to FOH, and the Leslie for monitor at stage. Now my Hammond residence is in my living room, directly connected to my 147. Here I have added my own “pedal”, I built in an L-Pad in the Leslie, so I can drive the Leslie harder without blowing out the windows. Still miss that reverb in there, so I am thinking to add a TrekII effect loop. I picked up the guitar a couple years ago, so my pedal collection for this have grown, shortly tried with a multi pedal ( Headrush), but I am more to knobs and the analog feel, and love to try out different stomp boxes. I am a terrible reseller, so my collection are growing.
  20. Seems to be alive. Only 100 units will be made, according to the video.
  21. A funny thing happened last week when I was trying out my pods for the second time. I had made corrections in it for my hearing loss, and suddenly, when I put them in, I could hear voices from far away and thought whoa, I can hear the neighbors speaking to each other. I was wrong, it was my band members that discussing the next number. My AirPods was in noise reduction mode 😛 Other than that, I have had good experiences with them so far, and can separate the instruments better. However, someone wrote earlier in this thread that you could set them up from a borrowed iPhone, and then use them as a standalone unit. That is not my experience, I have an iPhone, but often when I turn on my AirPods, they are in noise reduction mode, even if I left them last time in transparency mode.
